Travis Dunbar of Auburn, Maine will be back in a Pro Stock sponsors by Northeast log sales for the 2018 race season at Wiscasset Speedway. In the off season Travis has been busy, “Working in Biddeford as the IEP Coordinator, spending time with my family, and getting ready for the 2018 race season.”
Last Season Travis raced at OPS in the Bud Super Late Model Series, “We have been racing in the pro stock/super late model division since 2015. After trying the grueling weekly racing schedule at Oxford Plains Speedway, we decided to return to the high banks and bi-weekly racing schedule at Wiscasset Speedway.”
With the 1st race of the season only a few months away Travis is ready strap in once again. “We are all set. We will be taking advantage of the early season practice days and the builder of the car has agreed to come up to Maine and help us get the car dialed in.”
It will be a busy season for the #6 team with the first race beginning on April 21st and, the final race concluding the season on Oct. 6th. “We will be running the full season at Wiscasset and if we have a successful season we would love to join PASS for the Richmond, VA. race in October.”
What is the key to getting around Wiscasset? “I believe the key to getting around Wiscasset is honestly to stay out of trouble and finish. It has historically been a pretty rough division as of late and I’m hoping that we can change that as a division this year. People need to respect one another. As for set up, we will have a new car with a very aggressive set up that I’m sure will turn some heads. We have done some homework over the past season and winter.”
