ACT Set to Tackle Tricky Lee Oval at New Hampshire Governor’s Cup
Waterbury, VT – After finally kicking off the 2018 season this past Sunday, the American-Canadian Tour will be right back in action just six days later. The New Hampshire Governor’s Cup 150 at Lee USA Speedway this Saturday, May 12 will continue a busy early-season stretch for ACT teams created by multiple postponements. As such, their mettle will be tested as they set up their summer-long charge for the ACT Late Model Tour championship.

Waterbury, VT – For the second time this month, American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Lee USA Speedway officials have announced the postponement of the 28th New Hampshire Governor’s Cup, citing unsuitable ground conditions at the facility. The event has now been rescheduled for Saturday, May 12 at 2:00pm.
Excessive mud and moisture has persisted at the track throughout April due to heavy snowfall over the winter. Freezing rain and cold temperatures this past weekend further worsened the conditions, making it impossible to get the grounds race-worthy in time.

Eddie MacDonald opened last season’s PASS schedule with a victory at Thompson Motorsports Park’s Icebreaker and hopes to repeat that performance this Sunday, April 8 on the famed Thompson speedway. Eddie Mac will pilot the Dave Lemieux owned Pro Stock in as many as nine events with his sights set on an Icebreaker win.
“Racing at Thompson is always fun and you couldn’t ask for anything better than starting the season off competing in the Icebreaker,” said the Rowley, Mass. veteran racer. “Everyone is excited to get going this season and we have the car ready to go so it should be a lot of fun. EXIT Realty Beatrice Associates will be our main sponsor for this race and we are thankful to Derek Beatrice for all his help. We had a great car last year in the opener to get the win so the goal we have is to get another victory to start the season. “

Waterbury, VT – American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Lee USA Speedway officials announced today that the 28th New Hampshire Governor’s Cup has been postponed due to lingering snow from the past winter. The event has been rescheduled to Sunday, April 22 at 1:15pm.
The card of racing will remain the same, with the ACT Late Model Tour going 150 laps in their 33rd season opener. Lee’s R&R Steel Late Model Sportsmen and the Northeast Classic Lites will also be in action.

Waterbury, VT – After finally breaking through for his first American-Canadian Tour (ACT) championship in 2017, Colchester’s Scott Payea is ready to return to the fold in 2018. Payea and his Rick Paya–led RPM Motorsports/Harrison Redi-Mix team will begin their title defense at the season-opening New Hampshire Governor’s Cup on Sunday, April 15 at Lee USA Speedway.
Payea is coming off one the best ACT seasons in recent memory. The veteran won five of the nine events in 2017, including a series-record four straight. The effort earned him the championship after previously finishing second in the standings four times.
