SHAW & LACHANCE HIGHLIGHT BUSY WEEKEND AT THE CENTER OF SPEED
Nobody could beat the weather Sunday afternoon, but DJ Shaw managed to beat the field in a rain shortened main event at Wiscasset Raceway to capture his first career PASS Super Late Model win. Rain moved into the midcoast region at around 3:20pm just as the 31 car field completed 98 laps in the Steel's Real Rod's and Customs 125 at Maine's Center of Speed. With no end to the rain in sight and a subsequent delay of nearly an hour, the race was called and Shaw declared the winner.
MaineRacing.com signs on to sponsor Staples Motorsports drivers Chris Staples Jr.and Owen Poisson. These two up and coming drivers are racing at Oxford Plains Speedway in the “JARRacing PHOTOGRAPHY GO KART SERIES”.
JOHNNY CLARK NOTCHES OPENING DAY WIN AT WISCASSET RACEWAY
Hallowell's Johnny Clark has been on a major roll at Wiscasset Raceway over the past year and his dominance of Maine's fastest track continued Saturday May 10th with a convincing win on opening day. Clark started 11th in the 23 car field and gradually picked his way along the outside lane into the top five. From there he took the lead from Chuck Lachance following a lap 22 caution and survived two more late race restarts to take the checkers in the 50 lap main event for the Clark's Car Crushing Prostocks. Jonathan Hicken Wins Canada Day 150 at Oyster Bed Speedway
(Oyster Bed Bridge, PE, July 7, 2019) – Jonathan Hicken (Brudenell, PE) picked up his first victory of the season and tenth career win at his home track in front of a capacity crowd this afternoon. Hicken had to battle hard with fellow Islander Dylan Gosbee (Cornwall, PE) as the two volleyed the lead most of the race. Gosbee ended up crossing the line just behind Hicken to take second place. Craig Slaunwhite (Terence, Bay, NS) had another solid run with a third place finish. Robbie MacEwen (Charlottetown, PE) and current Series point leader Dylan Blenkhorn (Truro, NS) came home fourth and fifth respectively.
Reed, Hopkins Take PASS Commonwealth Classic Wins At Richmond

RICHMOND, VA (March 30) – Austin Reed and Mike Hopkins split Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Model wins in the Inaugural PASS Commonwealth Classic Saturday afternoon at Richmond Raceway.
“The crew made some awesome adjustments at the halfway break and then the car was on rails,” said Reed after the biggest win of his career. “To win at Richmond is just amazing. I can’t believe we won yet, but I can’t wait for it to sink in.”
