Steve Perry the host of Mainely Motorsports TV, is always telling you the news from the race tracks here in Maine and through out New England but, this story is about his daughter Alicia. Unlike her dad she is very shy and quiet, though once she’s behind the wheel, her performance on the track tells the tale.

She got her start in racing when her dad took her to a indoor kart race, “I really liked it so I asked my dad if I could try it and, I really liked it.” Though she lets her dad do all the work on the car as his role of crew chief.

Alicia is currently second in points in the Animal Unrestricted Division at Richmond Karting Speedway (RKS). With 2 second place finishes and second in points Alicia proves that consistency matters as she has made every race so far this season.

In the past the team has ventured out and raced at Route 106 Race Park, in New Hampshire, where Alicia finished 2nd and 3rd.

Though Alicia is looking forward to bring the number 12 kart to take the checkered flag, for that elusive first win of the season hopefully this weekend when the drivers return to RKS to once again do battle on the asphalt.
