The young New Hampshire racer to compete with the Granite State Pro Stock Series at Lee Speedway
Lee, N.H. – Teenage race car driver, Derek Griffith will strap in on Friday, July 25, 2014 and compete in the Granite State Pro Stock Series’ first ever race at Lee Speedway in Lee, N.H.
Griffith, who currently sits fourth in the season long point standings is familiar with the 3/8-mile oval in Lee, N.H.
In 2012, at the age of 15, Derek won the Pro Stock season ending race during the Lee Speedway Oktoberfest event.
A return trip to Oktoberfest in 2013 resulted in an accident, which took the young driver out of contention. Derek remembered those events, “We thought we had a great chance to repeat as the Oktoberfest winner but unfortunately we got caught up in someone else’s misfortune; that’s why we are so excited about our series visiting Lee. I know we are fast there and I expect to contend for the victory.”
You can see Derek and the No. 12 Mom’s of Manchester/LCM Racing/Tyngsboro Motors Toyota Camry at Lee Speedway this week and you can follow Derek’s racing on Facebook at www.facebook.com/ derekgriffith18 or on Twitter – www.twitter.com/ derekgriffith12
