(Halifax, NS, August 4, 2015) The Atlantic Cat 250, Halifax’s most anticipated stock car racing weekend of the season, returns to Scotia Speedworld this Friday and Saturday for two days of full throttle excitement! This year’s event will attract the best stock car drivers from the Maritimes and beyond. Friday night the Dartmouth Dodge Sportsman will kick things off as they go head-to-head in the Dartmouth Dodge 100. Saturday race fans will see the stars of the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour battle for 250 grueling laps in the weekend’s main feature, the Atlantic Cat 250, which has a posted purse of over $60,000.00!

The Benjamin Motorsports team headed across the border this past weekend and raced in Valle Junction Quebec. The team was looking to turn it season around and need a good run. In the first practice the team would have to go to work because of an engine issues. The team found a broken rocker in the cylinder head and it would take all day to get it fixed and the team would have to miss all the practice and qualifying races. That meant the 17 car would start in the 21st position for the 150 lap feature.

ACT Will Visit 11 Different Tracks in 2015
Waterbury, VT – The American Canadian Tour Late Models will visit 11 different tracks throughout New England, New York and Quebec during the 13 event 2015 season. Officials have announced the schedule, which will kick off on Sunday, April 12 at Lee USA Speedway in Lee, NH and crown a champion on Saturday, October 17 at Thompson Speedway in Thompson, CT.
The ACT Late Models visit two new tracks in 2015. ACT will run their first ever point counting events at Autodrome Chaudiere in Vallee-Jct., QC as a doubleheader with PASS in September and the Late Models will visit Thompson for the first time ever to conclude the season in October.

SOUTH PLATTSBURGH, NY – Bobby Therrien gave the northeastern stock car racing world a bit of a surprise on Sunday afternoon by winning the 50-lap Northern Modified Challenge Series event at Airborne Park Speedway. Typically a top performer in full-fender Late Models on the American-Canadian Tour, Therrien held off the field to win in his first open-wheel start of the season.

FLEMMING EXTENDS CHAMPIONSHIP LEAD, WINS LUCAS OIL 150
(Antigonish, NS, September 6, 2014) – John Flemming went from the back of the field on Saturday night at Riverside International Speedway to the front to win the Lucas Oil 150. Flemming, who won the Atlantic Tiltload Time Trials with a 14.272 second lap earlier in the day, developed transmission related issues off the grid and had to come down pit road to get service on his car, relegating him to the rear from his third place starting spot. Flemming took the lead on lap 115 from Shawn Turple (Enfield, NS) and never looked back, taking his second win of the season. Turple ended the night in second, followed by King Freight Dash winner Jonathan Hicken (Brudenell, PE). Hometown favorite Donald Chisholm (Antigonish, NS) bested Craig Slaunwhite (Terence Bay, NS) to take the fourth place spot in the 21 car field.
