Jonathan Hicken Wins Canada Day 150 at Oyster Bed Speedway
(Oyster Bed Bridge, PE, July 7, 2019) – Jonathan Hicken (Brudenell, PE) picked up his first victory of the season and tenth career win at his home track in front of a capacity crowd this afternoon. Hicken had to battle hard with fellow Islander Dylan Gosbee (Cornwall, PE) as the two volleyed the lead most of the race. Gosbee ended up crossing the line just behind Hicken to take second place. Craig Slaunwhite (Terence, Bay, NS) had another solid run with a third place finish. Robbie MacEwen (Charlottetown, PE) and current Series point leader Dylan Blenkhorn (Truro, NS) came home fourth and fifth respectively.
Heart of a Champion to Host Toys For Kids at IWK 250
JAMES RIVER, NS (July 3, 2019) – Management for Riverside International Speedway is pleased to announce that Heart of a Champion will host the 2019 edition of Toys for Kids on July 18 to 20 at the track. Toys for Kids is part of the overall initiative for raising awareness and funds for the IWK Foundation at the IWK 250 Super Race Weekend.
PRO STOCK TOUR HEADS TO PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND FOR CANADA DAY 150
(Halifax, NS, June 26, 2019) The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour is revving up Canada Day celebrations this Saturday at Oyster Bed Speedway. The Canada Day 150 will mark round five of 12 for the series and the first of two appearances on the Island this season. Local fans will have lots to cheer for with a strong contingent of Island drivers looking to impress at their home track. Qualifying for the Canada Day 150 gets underway with Atlantic Tiltload Heat Races at 6:00 PM.
BLENKHORN CAPTURES VICTORY AT NOVA TRUCK CENTRES MAKE-A-WISH 150
(Halifax, NS, June 23, 2019) Dylan Blenkhorn (Truro, NS) picked up his second win of the season and his 18th Series victory after winning the Nova Truck Centres Make-A-Wish 150 this afternoon at Scotia Speedworld. Blenkhorn had to battle Jarrett Butcher (Porter’s Lake, NS) who finished second for the latter stages of the race. Jonathan Hicken (Brudenell, PE) had a strong run finishing third. Nicholas Naugle (Dartmouth, NS) and Shawn Turple (Enfield, NS) rounded out the top five.

The Nova Truck Centres 150 will mark round four of 12 for the elite stock car racing series and the second of only four visits to the oval located just outside of Halifax, NS. Grandstand gates for the Nova Truck Centres Make-A-Wish 150 open at 1:00pm with Atlantic Tiltload Heat Races slated for 4:00pm.
COLE BUTCHER WINS CEILIDH HONDA TRIPLE 50’s AT RIVERSIDE INTERNATIONAL
(Antigonish, NS – June 08, 2019) – Cole Butcher (Hantsport, NS) picked up his first career Riverside victory tonight at the Ceilidh Honda Triple 50’s. The unique triple 50 format provided a thrilling race for drivers and fans alike. Greg Proude (Springvale, PE) paced the field for the first 50 laps prior to the Riverside roulette wheel being spun which resulted in an inversion of the top five cars, placing Nicholas Naugle (Dartmouth, NS) on the pole for the second 50 laps. Naugle proceeded to lead laps 51 – 100 when the Riverside roulette wheel inverted the top 10 cars placing Cole Butcher in front of the field for the final 50 laps and he never looked back. Dylan Blenkhorn (Truro, NS) finished second with Dylan Gosbee (Cornwall, PE) completing the podium. Proude and Jonathan Hicken (Brudenell, PE) rounded out the top five.
