Barre, VT – Bill Davis of Monson, MA earned $5,000 with his win in the 250 lap 25th Annual M&M Beverage Enduro. Davis along with over 150 other cars from all over the northeast attempted to snag the big pay check. Long time leader Adam Gray of Belchertown, MA dropped out with less than 30 laps remaining and handed the victory to Davis. The event saw lots of action including several pile-ups and even a roll over.

Vallee-Jonction, QC – Patrick Laperle of St-Denis-sur-Richelieu, QC makes is two Serie ACT Castrol wins in a row with his win in the Luminare Napert 150 at Autodrome Chaudiere. Laperle started from the 15th position and took the lead on lap number 44. He led the rest of the way and was not contested. Sylvain Lacombe came home second, followed closely by Donald Theetge, Karl Allard and Jean-François Déry rounding out the top five. Jonathan Desbiens, Alexandre Gingras, Patrick Cliche and Patrick Hamel finished 6th through 9th.

BARRE, VT – The 50th Anniversary Season Celebration at Thunder Road International Speedbowl will continue with next week’s doubleheader. The action will begin on Thursday, August 13th with Vermont ACE Hardware Dealers Night featuring the Tiger Sportsmen Tri-State Series 100. It will be the third and final event on the Tri-State Series 2009 schedule. The Late Models, Street Stocks and Junkyard Warriors are also on the stock car racing card. Post time is set for 6:30pm.

Barre, VT – Charlotte’s Rich Lowrey scored his sixth career feature Late Model win on NAPA Night at Thunder Road International Speedbowl. Lowrey started in the sixth position and took over the lead from Eric Chase after a lap 28 restart. The “Hurricane” Jamie Fisher raced through the field from his ninth position to battle Lowrey, but came up short. Jean-Paul Cyr came from fifteenth to third and unofficial retakes the lead in the championship point’s battle. Eric Chase came home fourth followed by Phil Scott who unofficially retains third place in the point standings. Brooks Clark finished sixth followed by Cris Michaud, John Donahue, Nick Sweet and Craig Bushey rounding out the top ten.

Naples, ME 8/4/09– With the month of August comes the hottest part of the summer for much of the North Carolina region. Kids will quickly begin preparing to go back to school as the summer months come to a close. But before that time approaches there will be a different “schooling” of sorts that will take place at the Orange County Speedway when the super late model cars and stars of the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South make their second and final stop of 2009 at the 3/8th mile Rougemont, NC facility on Saturday August 8th.for the “Southern Sizzler”.

Waterbury, VT –Following the second event in the American Canadian Tour (ACT) Tiger Sportsman Series at the Canaan Fair Speedway this past Saturday, August 1st, second place finisher Joey Roberts from Georgia, Vermont has been disqualified.
