EAST MONTPELIER, Vt. – In the American Canadian Tours final visit to Airborne Park Speedway of the 2015 season, Emily Packard and her Northstar Fireworks/Packard Fuels team brought home a 13th place finish, closing the gap to just three points out of the 4th position in the championship battle.
Practice saw Emily and the team working on trying to loosen up a tight race car and dialing the car in to her liking for the heat race. “The car was okay during practice,” said Packard. “We weren’t spectacular but we were about the same as we have been in the past few times we have run here at Airborne, with an okay race car.” As they lined up for the heats, the 18-year old started from the 4th position, on the outside. She found herself running as high as second, but was passed late in the heat race to finish fifth, and it was on to the consolation race.

Waterbury, VT – The American Racer Three Star program is designed to recognize three teams in no particular order of performance that had outstanding races at American-Canadian Tour (ACT) U.S. Tour events. There are no specific criteria for deciding who might receive the award of a free American Racer Tire (value $125.00), but a special effort by a team, exceptional race, just plain old hard luck, or any other accepted reason is used to decide the award recipients.
The Three Stars are chosen by ACT officials and will receive certificates for use of a free American Racer tire at a race of their choosing during the 2015 season.

EAST MONTPELIER, Vt. – With only two races left on the American Canadian Tour schedule, Emily Packard and her Northstar Fireworks/Packard Fuels team is ready to return to Airborne Park Speedway this weekend for the Fall Foliage 200. “We have raced there two times already this season,” said Packard, “and it makes a difference to know the track as we head there.”
Packard has competed in the Fall Foliage race the last 2 seasons, finishing 11th (in 2013) and 15th (2014) and believes that she can have a good finish again this weekend. “We always have a good car and seem to run pretty decent here,” Packard said. “I hope we can get the car dialed in during practice and so I can go out and have a great run and finish as far up front as I can.”
