Walpole, NH- The inaugural champion in the Granite State Pro Stock Series, Bobby Cabral, has filed entry to the Monadnock 100, taking place May 24 at the Winchester, NH facility.
Cabral won the first ever championship in the young series’ history in 2012 in dominating fashion. The Medford, MA driver took home a victory and three top 3 finishes out of 6 races, but more impressively, only finished outside the top 5 once (7th, Canaan). Cabral will be driving the #66c, with backing out of the LCM racing stables. Monadnock may be a great spot for Cabral to get back into the racing groove with the series. In two races there, both in 2012, Cabral picked up a pair of third place finishes. Cabral looks to continue that trend on Saturday.

Walpole, NH- With one race already in the books for the Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS), competitors are preparing for a date with Monadnock Speedway May 24.
The ¼ mile bullring is located in Winchester, NH, and has been host to four events in the early life of the GSPSS, and creates tight, door-to-door battles and good, hard racing. Drivers like Barry Gray and Matt Frahm are no stranger to this speedway, as both have picked up wins in the series at this facility.
To say Gray could drive Monadnock Speedway with his eyes closed may not be a huge stretch for the Belchertown, MA driver. Gray has at least 6 championships between Late Models and Pro Stocks at Monadnock, including a New Hampshire State Championship involving the Winchester, NH speedway and Twin State Speedway in Claremont, NH. Gray has two wins at Monadnock with the GSPSS, and has finished outside the top 10 once in four starts, boasting an average feature finish of 5.5. The driver of the Meadows Motor Car/ Hawley’s Auto Repair Chevrolet looks to this track to surge forward in the standings. “There’s so many good competitors in this series, it’s going to be tough no matter where we go,” Gray states. “But our chances are better than average at Monadnock, as long as luck is on our side.”
