Waterbury, VT – The American-Canadian Tour is just over two weeks away from opening its 2018 season at Lee USA Speedway on Sunday, April 15with the annual New Hampshire Governor’s Cup. While defending ACT Late Model Tour Champion Scott Payea enters the opener as the title frontrunner, a number of other drivers are preparing their own run at the $10,000 champion’s purse.
Williamstown, VT’s Jimmy Hebert is one of the early favorites to challenge for the 2018 championship. Hebert returned to the full ACT Late Model Tour schedule this past season in his #58VT Hebert Excavation Chevrolet and finished fourth in the final standings. He has been a contender throughout his career and will look to put it all together for the 10-race schedule.

HICKORY, NC (March 31) – Preston Peltier survived a second half duel with local favorite Shane Lee to claim the victory in the 13th Annual Easter Bunny 150Presented By MyComputerCareer Saturday night at Hickory Motor Speedway. Waterbury, VT – After finally breaking through for his first American-Canadian Tour (ACT) championship in 2017, Colchester’s Scott Payea is ready to return to the fold in 2018. Payea and his Rick Paya–led RPM Motorsports/Harrison Redi-Mix team will begin their title defense at the season-opening New Hampshire Governor’s Cup on Sunday, April 15 at Lee USA Speedway.
Payea is coming off one the best ACT seasons in recent memory. The veteran won five of the nine events in 2017, including a series-record four straight. The effort earned him the championship after previously finishing second in the standings four times.

Vallée-Jonction, QC – Autodrome Chaudière officials announced today that an agreement has been reached with American-Canadian Tour (ACT) co-owner Cris Michaud and Serié ACT representative Marc-Patrick Roy to add a second event this season at the Vallée-Jonction, QC speedway.
Série ACT will now head to Autodrome Chaudiere, which is located in the Beauce region south of Quebec City, on Saturday, June 2 for a 125-lap event. The date comes in addition to their originally scheduled visit for Saturday, July 28.

WINCHESTER, NH- Dave Shullick, Jr. out of Westlake, OH, will be taking part in the ISMA season opener at the Monadnock Speedway on Saturday night, May 19 for the 75 lap race. Shullick will be coming into Monadnock with a lot of momentum as he won the final two races of the season last year at Star Speedway with the Star Classic and the World Series of Racing at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park.
” I am really excited to come to a new track especially one with such history. I got the chance to talk to Jon McKennedy about the event and he shared his thoughts with me and it sounds like its a good thing for ISMA and its really a good thing for Supermodifieds to be coming to a track like this.” Shullick said.
