Thunder Road Welcomes New Event Sponsors in 2018

Barre, VT – Thunder Road officials announced today that multiple new event sponsors have signed on for the 2018 season. Some have current previous ties to the speedway while others will be joining the Thunder Road family for the first time.

The biggest change is the addition of Bolduc Metal Recycling as the title sponsor of the annual Enduro 200 scheduled for Sunday, August 5. Bolduc has signed a multi-year deal to replace M&M Beverage, who had been the underwriter for the event since its inception in 1986. The company will also sponsor the 50-lap Street Stock Special held on that date.

ACT Announces Departure of Roy from Quebec Series

Waterbury, VT – American-Canadian Tour (ACT) officials have announced that, effective immediately, Série ACT promoter Marc-Patrick Roy will no longer be associated with the organization. Roy had been in charge of Série ACT operations since early 2017 and had also worked as an official at select ACT Late Model Tour events in the U.S.

 

ACT co-owner Cris Michaud cited differences regarding the direction of the Quebec-based Late Model series as the reason behind Roy’s departure. Despite the move, ACT remains committed to the future of Série ACT and hopes to make additional announcements in the coming days regarding the upcoming season. The series is currently scheduled to open its 2018 campaign at Vallée-Junction, QC’s Autodrome Chaudiere on Saturday, June 2.

a twenty year veteran of the US military and I was actually born in a military hospital. The
veteran community is very important to us, we are planning multiple projects in support of

Second straight PASS National Championship Series win for Hudson, New Hampshire driver

Thompson, Connecticut – Derek Griffith of Hudson, New Hampshire nailed down his first Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park victory in impressive fashion, outrunning two-time PASS North Super Late Model Champion DJ Shaw to the checkered flag in the Icebreaker 100 Sunday afternoon.

Griffith, who had been a runner-up in Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park Super Late Model competition in the past, started from fifth position. Aboard his LCM Motorsports ride, Griffith battled Saturday heat race winners and early frontrunners Shaw and Reid Lanpher of Manchester, Maine before grabbing the race lead, which he would not relinquish.

PASS North Set To Begin Sunday At Thompson’s Icebreaker

NAPLES, ME (April 5) – After a long winter break, that has seen some venture south to compete, Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North Super Late Model drivers from across New England and Canada are ready to tackle Connecticut’s Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park this weekend for the first race of 2018.

In addition to being the first action of the season for New England’s top short trackers, the 44th Annual Icebreaker also serves as the second race of the PASS National Championship Series. Following the first event held at South Carolina’s Dillon Motor Speedway in February, race winner, Derek Griffith, finds himself leading 5-Time PASS National Champion, Ben Rowe, by just two points heading to Thompson.
