NAPLES, ME (June 10) – As the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) AIM Recycling Super Late Models Pres. By Kenny U-Pull prepare for race number six of the 2015 season, Cassius Clark is still seeking his first top five finish of the year. While the former series champion has performed well this season, currently sitting fourth in points, the numbers have still not been up to par for Clark. This Sunday afternoon, Clark and his fellow PASS competitors will head to Bangor, ME’s Speedway 95 for the Hight Chevrolet/Buick/GMC 150. Clark comes to Speedway 95 as the defending race winner at the event named for his longtime sponsor, but seeking redemption at the same time. Despite his win last year, contact past the start/finish line with DJ Shaw sent Clark into a dirt berm in turn one and out for the rest of the 2014 season.

NEMST: Sonnhalter Falls Inches Shy In Speedbowl Finish

Sonnhalter Falls Inches Shy In Speedbowl Finish

Many teams across New England felt that the 2014 NEMST event at Waterford Speedbowl may have been the final time the series battled on the weathered Connecticut surface. Thankfully Waterford Speedbowl was bought in the off season and kept a race track. The NEMST would have a chance to return to one of the raciest tracks in New England once again, this time under a new name, management, and officials.

Saturday night the touring mini stocks filled the gates of New London-Waterford Speedbowl with a 20 car field set to take green later in the evening. Nick Anderson and Toby Wells won their respective Environmental Engines heat races however Wells would be forced to start in the rear of the field after failing to report directly to the NEMST inspection trailer following the heat race. The invert of 4 rows was drawn by Anderson after winning his heat.

ACTPolewarczyk Takes Third Win of Season in People’s United Bank 100

West Haven, VT – Defending American-Canadian Tour (ACT) Champion Joey Polewarczyk Jr. took his third win of the season in the People’s United Bank 100 at Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Saturday, June 6.

Hudson, NH’s “Joey Pole” worked his way up from the seventh starting position and got inside Tour point leader Wayne Helliwell Jr. on lap 74 of the 100-lap event. Pole completed the pass a lap later and motored away to win a caution-free race.

“You never really expect a race to go caution-free, but with this Tour, it can happen,” Pole said. “100 laps is kind of a short race for us, so our plan was to try and get to the front as quick as we could. But in the beginning I was battling with Travis Stearns and couldn’t really make much ground. So I backed off for a little while, and finally said ‘let’s try it again’.
