Walpole, NH- The Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS) welcome new and returning partnerships with brands from all over United States, helping to build the Contingency Program to nearly $25,000 in cash and products throughout the season.
The program rewards drivers in multiple different fashions, including heat wins, feature finishes, leader at the halfway-point, random drawings, and a nice packages for the Champion, Rookie of the Year, and Most Improved Driver in the 2015 season.

Waterbury, VT –The never-ending winter of 2015 has forced officials of the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and the Lee USA Speedway to postpone the New Hampshire Governor’s Cup 150, originally scheduled for Saturday, April 11 and Sunday, April 12.
“We have waited in hopes that we would start to get some relief from the massive amount of snow we received this past winter in our region,” said Bill Callen, manager of the Lee USA Speedway. “We wanted to get things opened up in time for our ACT opening event, but that is going to be impossible with the amount of snow that still is at the Speedway. We know that fans and teams have always enjoyed coming to Lee for the first event of the season, but unfortunately we still have snow drifts from the frontstretch up over the grandstands! We just don’t believe we can get things prepared appropriately in the next two weeks. The best thing for all concerned was to give some early notice, as many teams and fans travel from Quebec, Maine and Vermont to our traditional ACT openers.”

Anderson, SC – After a solid first outing in the #4 Woodman Racing Super Late Model, Joey Doiron made the trek down south once again for the second Pro All Stars Series South and the first in the PASS National championship at Anderson Motor Speedway in Anderson, South Carolina. After working on the car’s handling throughout the day, the team got the car right for the feature. Doiron drove to the front and fought with eventual winner Ben Rowe for the win after contact while racing for the win lead to Doiron finishing the event in the sixth position.
“I’m proud of how far we came today, this car was really good at the beginning of the race,” Doiron said of his race, “I was racing with Ben (Rowe) and we were putting on a great race and unfortunately we just got together a little bit and it knocked our toe out, it was just hard racing for the win, that’s what people come here to see.” (more…)

When Eddie MacDonald takes the green flag to open his NASCAR K & N Pro Series East season at Bristol it will be as defending champion after posting the impressive win last year in the Pittlite 125. The Grimm Construction/Multiple Sclerosis Society Chevy piloted by the veteran racer started 13th in the event last season and had the crowd on its feet as Eddie Mac drove to the front in a door to door battle with Ben Rhodes to lead the final two laps for the win. The Rowley, Mass. driver is entering his 15th year in the series and will start in his 183rd race with hopes to repeat last year’s performance.
“The win last year at Bristol was huge for our team,” said Eddie Mac while preparing the #71 for the race in the Newburyport, Mass. shop. “It was definitely one of the highlights of my career to win there. The track is awesome in every way. You dream about racing there and to get a win there is definitely the icing on the cake. We knew we had a good car despite not qualifying all that well (13th) but Rollie (LaChance) had a great set up and it handled well right from the start. After the break I knew I had something for the leaders and it was a lot of fun to race for the win. That race really gave us the boost we needed to run well the rest of the season even though we ran a part-time schedule.” (more…)

Anderson, SC – DJ Shaw and the #60 Precision JLM Racing team got their 2015 season kicked off this past weekend at Anderson Motor Speedway in Anderson, South Carolina. The “Peach Blossom Special” was the start of the Pro All Stars Series National schedule. The team faced plenty of adversity this past weekend, as they swapped cars twice, and fought through mechanical failures before calling it a night early in the 150 lap event after the brakes failed and ended the race in the 16th position.
The weekend started with the primary car’s engine smoking in the first practice. The team turned around quick and rolled out the backup car, and showed plenty of speed throughout practice. However, the team found more engine issues with the backup car and went back to the primary car during the final practices of the day. After practice the team had to change radiators and turn it around quickly before qualifying. Shaw was only able to qualify 16th, but felt like he had a good piece to run the race with. After just 20 laps, Shaw stormed through the field and cracked into the top five. As soon as he did though, the brakes failed on the 60 Precision JLM car, and Shaw fought brake fade for the rest of the night before bringing the car in for good with 15 laps remaining, finishing in the 16th position. Waterbury, VT – The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) will compete in three 150-lap events on three completely different tracks in all three northern New England states to open the 2015 season. The New Hampshire Governor’s Cup 150, set for Sunday, April 12, is the traditional opening event for ACT teams held yearly at Lee USA Speedway in Lee, NH. Teams will then travel to Oxford Plains Speedway (OPS) in Oxford, ME a week later, followed by their annual visit to Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, VT.
The fast Lee 3/8th-mile oval might statistically favor multi-time Lee champion and two-time ACT champion Wayne Helliwell, Jr., but he has tried eight times to date with a best finish of second in last year’s event, and is long overdue for a win. There is also favorite Eddie MacDonald, who is on a roll with five consecutive wins in recent outings, going back to the Thunder Road Milk Bowl last October. McDonald captured the NH Governor’s Cup last year in his ninth try at his home track. Defending 2014 ACT Champion Joey Polewarczk, Jr. (Pole) is also considered a favorite, but his only win at Lee USA came in a 100-lap opening race back in 2008. (more…)
