Austin Theriault earns pole for Super Late Model 300 Sunday

Scarborough, Maine – Ryan Phillips of Buxton, Maine scored a career-first PASS Modified victory, while Gorham’s Craig Smith prevailed in a 75-lap open event for Wildcat/Strictly Stock division racers, topping the feature racing card to kick off Southern Maine Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge 400 weekend at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway.

Austin Theriault of Fort Kent will start from the pole in Sunday’s Pro All Stars series Super Late Model 300 after winning his qualifying heat race on Saturday. DJ Shaw of Center Conway, New Hampshire and Corey Bubar of Windham also won heat races to set the 30-car starting field for Sunday’s main event.

Other feature races were held for the mid-week series racers after their originally-scheduled Thursday night event was washed out. Matt Dufault of Turner, Alex Lacognata of Scarborough, Chad Emery of Buxton, Jeff walker of Waterboro and Freeport’s Matt Curtis were triumphant in those events.

Field for 5th Annual Bond Auto ACT Invitational Announced

The 43-car field for the 5th Annual Bond Auto ACT Invitational at New Hampshire Motor Speedway has been announced. The biggest names in American Canadian Tour Late Models will be on hand for the event on Saturday, September 21.

The field will be led by twelve drivers who have won an Invitational qualifier event. A strong contingent from New Hampshire includes Wayne Helliwell, Jr. and Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. Vermont drivers Brian Hoar, Jimmy Hebert, Bobby Therrien and Cody Blake claimed qualifier wins. From north of the border, Quebecer’s Jean-François Déry, Alex Labbe, Donald Theetge, Dany Trepanier have all won qualifying events. Travis Stearns of Maine and Eddie MacDonald of Massachusetts complete the 12 Invitational Qualifier winners.

Bradley Babb of Windham, Maine, returns to the PASS North Series with an eye on one of the marquee events of the season, the Southern Maine Chrysler Dodge Jeep 300 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Sunday, September 15. Babb, the 2012 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series track champion at the track, enjoyed one of his best career PASS performances in this race in 2011 when he was running third in the late going before getting collected in a wreck. The son of a five-time Beech Ridge Motor Speedway champion is hoping to grab his first career series victory in the longest race of the season.

GORHAM, Maine – Dan McKeage of Gorham, Maine, returns to the PASS Sportsman Series for the PASS Sportsman 100 as part of the PASS 400 weekend at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Sunday, September 15. McKeage won the last PASS Sportsman Series race at Beech Ridge back in May, and he heads into the second-to-last race of the season just 33 points behind the series leader, Carey Martin. He’s hoping a home-track advantage – McKeage is a past track champion at Beech Ridge and finished second in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series standings there this season – will help him close the gap on Martin heading into the season finale in two weeks. THE STORY

Austin Theriault of Fort Kent, Maine, returns to both the PASS North Series and the seat of his family-owned Ford Fusion for the Southern Maine Chrysler Dodge Jeep 300 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Sunday, September 15. Theriault has three Top-10 finishes in as many PASS North Series starts this season, most recently posting a fourth-place finish in the TD Bank Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway in July. Theriault is a two-time PASS South Series race winner this season for Brad Keselowski Racing, and he finished seventh in the AT Racing No. 57 Pelletier Ford Ford Fusion at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway back in May. This marks his first appearance in the longest race on the PASS North Series schedule, and it comes just one week after he was wrecked out of the Top-3 while driving for Mulkern Racing in the Thunder Valley 200 at Autodrome Chaudiere in Vallee-Jonction, Que.

SEASON FINALE DARTMOUTH DODGE 200 TO DECIDE 2013 PRO STOCK TOUR CHAMPION

pro stock tour(Halifax, NS, September 11, 2013) The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour will close out another sensational season this Saturday at Scotia Speedworld with the Dartmouth Dodge 200. After 12 events in five cities, over 40 competitors and 1,650 feature laps, it all comes down to the final 200 circuits to decide who will be crowned the 2013 Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour Champion – and who will cash the $10,000.00 cheque! Qualifying for the Dartmouth Dodge 200 gets underway at 3:10 PM with the Atlantic Tiltload Time Trials followed by championship racing set for 4:00 PM. Grandstand gates open at 1:00 PM.

Three-time series champion John Flemming (Halifax, NS) enters the Season Finale Dartmouth Dodge 200 with a 49 point lead over fellow three-time series champ Shawn Tucker (Fredericton, NB). Tucker has been dominating the second half of the season but even if he is able to pull off his fifth win of the season and take the Linde Most Lap Led Award, it would give him the maximum 210 points, meaning Flemming will still only need to finish 19th or better in order to take home his fourth title.
