John Donahue Rebounds with Win on Casella Night

Barre, VT – Graniteville’s John Donahue rebounded from an eventful Mid-Season Championship just a week ago with a win on Casella night Thursday, July 21 at Thunder Road. Donahue came from the 13th starting position and worked his way through heavy traffic to earn his third win of the season.

Joey Becker led early from the outside pole after a caution on the original green. He would hold a comfortable lead for the first 30 laps before it appeared his car started going away. Dave Whitcomb made a power move on the outside on lap 30 to take the lead. The 26-year-old’s main goal this weekend is to knock winning the TD Bank 250 off his racing bucket list, but Busch, who is used to running multiple NASCAR races in the same weekend, is also entered in the Pro All Star Series (PASS) Super Late Model 150 on Saturday.
