WILLISTON, Vt. – Brian Hoar’s name is stamped all over the ACT Late Model Tour record book, from front cover to rear with nary a page that doesn’t have his name somewhere.

His 28 victories are the most in ACT history. No one else has won five races in a season, a feat Hoar accomplished during his 1999 title run. His seven series championships tie him with Jean-Paul Cyr for the most by a driver.

Field Set for the PASS South THE RACE at North Wilkesboro Speedway

44 Drivers Set to Take the Green Flag for $75,000.00 Sunday Afternoon

A total of 77 drivers entered the gates at North Wilkesboro Speedway (NC) this weekend to partake in the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South presented by JE Pistons and Roush Yates Performance Products “THE RACE,” which is scheduled to take place Sunday afternoon, April 10th. After qualifying, heat races and a couple last chance events, the 44-car field is set to take the green flag at the historic North Carolina track, where the winner will take home $75,000.00, along with five drivers eligible for the additional $25,000.00 bonus.

On Friday, Stephen Nasse etched his name in the record books, earning the McGunegill Engine Performance Fast Time Award with a new track record of 18.700 seconds. Justin Wakefield, Ryan Moore, Brian Ickler, Bubba Pollard, Augie Grill, Pat Kelly, Andy Loden, Johnny Clark, Jay Fogleman, Cale Gale, Kenzie Ruston, Trevor Sanborn, TJ Reaid and Chris Eggleston all locked themselves into the field as the fastest 15 during qualifying. The top-10 drivers redrew for their starting positions, with Clark and Fogleman starting THE RACE on the front row followed by Kelly, Loden, Grill, Pollard, Wakefield, Moore, Ickler and Nasse. PASS : Rain forces postponement of THE RACE until Sunday April 10

North Wilkesboro NC ( 4/9) Rain moved in over North Wilkesboro Speedway immediately after the field was set for the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) presented by JE Pistons and Roush Yates Performance Products THE RACE, forcing a one day postponement of the $75,000.00 to win short track spectacular until Sunday April 10.

On Sunday the pit area will open at 10:00 AM and the spectator grandstands at 11:00 AM. Tickets are available at the gate for tomorrow’s rescheduled event.

New cars, new organization could lead to elusive first Tour title

MILTON, Vt. – Brent Dragon’s name has become almost synonymous with the ACT Late Model Tour. The veteran driver has more ACT starts, more Top-10 finishes and more laps completed than any driver in series history. As if that weren’t enough, Dragon sits fourth on ACT’s all-time win list.

But after nearly two decades of trying, there’s one trophy still missing from Dragon’s mantle. One very large trophy, to be exact.

PASS South: Fifteen drivers race their way Into “THE RACE”

Five heat races highlight first ever night racing action at North Wilkesboro Speedway

With the top-15 drivers locked in to the show after qualifying earlier in the evening for the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South presented by JE Pistons and Roush Yates Performance Parts “THE RACE” on Friday, April 8th, the focus shifted to the five heat races to lock in 16th – 30th with the first-ever races under the lights at North Wilkesboro Speedway (NC). While Patrick Laperle, Ross Kenseth, Ryan Blaney, Jeff Choquette and Preston Peltier went to victory lane in the five 25-lap heat races, a total of 15 heat-race drivers added their names to the already-qualified list , bringing the locked in total to 30 for Saturday’s 300-lap event.

Heat one had Laperle and Joey Coulter on the front row, but immediately went under yellow as a few cars had issues in the back of the field in turn one. Shortly after the restart, the yellow flew again for another issue in turn four.
