It has been along winter and the fans drivers can’t wait to hear the roar of the engines, as the PASS North season opened at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway, is only a month away. One of the fan favorites Travis Benjamin, driver of the number 17, will once again take on the drivers of the Pro All Star Series to win his first PASS Championship.
RPM. What have you been doing in the off season?
Travis. We have been working really hard on our cars to make sure they are both ready to go for the season. I personally have been playing a lot of Basketball and just picked up playing Floor Hockey. Trying to stay busy cause its been a really long winter.

Waterbury, VT – The Ford Blue Oval Challenge for ACT Late Model teams will see some administrative changes and a whole lot more competition in the upcoming 2011 race season.
The American Canadian Tour (ACT) and Ford Sportsman Circle Track Racing, a division of Ford Racing, announced today the second year of the “Blue Oval Challenge” for the Ford competitors racing in ACT events or at ACT affiliated Late Model tracks.

Doiron Eager To Tackle North Wilkesboro
Reigning PASS Rookie of the Year Ready To Shine In ‘The Race’
BERWICK, Maine – Joey Doiron figures he was probably only four years old the last time the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series competed at North Wilkesboro (N.C.) Speedway, but he sensed the history as soon as he visited the venerable racing grounds on a recent trip.
“I think I used to watch the races then, but I honestly don’t remember if I ever saw North Wilkesboro or not,” Doiron said this week. “It’s a really cool place, though. It’s like stepping back in time when you get there. It was kept up pretty well for no one really touching it in 15 years or so.”

Richie Dearborn finished the 2010 season with a win at White
Mountain Motorsports Park. Now the 2011 PASS race season is almost
here with the 1st race at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway on April 30th.
Richie looks to start the new season right where he left off last
season…. in victory lane.

CHARLOTTE, NC (March 29) – After a weekend that saw torrential rains pound the Southeast, Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South competitors are looking forward to a return trip to Dillon (SC) Motor Speedway this Saturday night for the rescheduled 6th Annual South Carolina Clash. With an extra week off to get prepared for the tricky 4/10 mile oval, this weekend’s event promises to be extremely competitive. Before the rains moved into the region and forced the cancellation of the event on its originally scheduled date last weekend, 23 PASS South teams converged on Dillon last Friday to get their machines fine tuned. Canaan, NH. — Two-time Waterford Speedbowl Late Model champion Timmy Jordan
of Plainfield, CT, will move to open-wheel racing and the Valenti Modified Racing
Series when the tour opens its 2011 season at the famed race track Saturday and Sunday, April 2 & 3. The two-day event marks the second consecutive season the VMRS will be part of the annual Budweiser Blast-Off Weekend.
Jordan, who started his racing career at Waterford in the mini-stock division, moved
to the full-bodied Late Models where he garnered 22 wins over the last five years. Although open wheel racing will be new to the 26-year-old high school teacher, Jordan feels he has good experience to tap into, to lean on for information and input. (more…)
