Championship night is at the New-London Waterford Speedbowl

Championship night is at the New-London Waterford Speedbowl in Waterford, CT is this Saturday, October 20th. It is shaping up to be one of our most exciting races of the season. The final race will be a traditional GSPSS format of 100 laps at with time trials to set heat placement.

Devin O’Connell of nearby Madison, CT must finish 14th or better to capture the 2018 series title if second in points Joey Doiron of Berwick, ME [30 points behind] wins the race. All eyes will be focused on the #43 of O’Connell and the #73 of Doiron as not only are they the championship contenders, earlier in the season they finished on the top two steps of the Podium for the Triple 35’s with Doiron the overall victor and O’Connell winner of the final segment.

Erroneous Call Cost Eddie MacDonald a Win and Possible ACT Championship at Thompson

With four laps left in the final race of the season to determine the American Canadian Tour Champion at Thompson’s World Series of Racing, Eddie Mac had an opportunity to not only win the ACT 75 lap event but also win a championship that appeared improbable at best prior to the race trailing Payea by 25 points. However, the erroneous call by race director Chris Michaud to send Eddie Mac to the rear for “his involvement” in the lap 71 caution dashed any hope to do the impossible.

Reid Lanpher best in PASS Super Late Model action at Oxford Plains Speedway

Oxford, Maine – Reid Lanpher of Manchester, Maine nailed down his second Pro All Stars Series North Super Late Model victory of the season Sunday afternoon at Oxford Plains Speedway.

Lanpher, who started 11th, needed nearly the entire race to chase down six-time PASS North champion Johnny Clark of Farmingdale, Maine and take the race lead. Clark, who led the first 138 circuits in the 150-lap race, managed to hang on to second place after dominating most of the rain-delayed event.

WALPOLE, NH.

19 drivers entered the series event on Friday of the World Series at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park. At the end of the 50 lap feature the familiar #17ma of Eddie “The Outlaw” MacDonald took the checkered flag. “My guys worked hard all practice long” MacDonald said. “We had to change a clutch earlier and we pulled through for the win.”

Wall Inherits Surprise Thompson Victory as Payea Secures Title

Thompson, CT – Millbury, MA’s William Wall emerged as the surprise winner when the dust settled after a wild finish to the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) World Series 75 at Connecticut’s Thompson Speedway on Saturday, October 13. The former Thompson Late Model Champion scored one for the locals by inheriting his first career ACT Late Model Tour victory while Colchester, VT’s Scott Payea secured his second straight ACT title with a 7th-place finish.
