PASS NorthA short mid-season vacation in 2011 may turn out to be key to the 2012 fortunes of Joey Doiron Racing.

Joey Doiron returned from a two-week hiatus last season to turn in his most impressive performances of the entire year, an effort that Doiron believes energized the team and could serve as a springboard for his current PASS North Series effort. That season starts on Saturday, May 5, with the SouthernMaineMotors.com 150 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway.

Doiron is as excited as he’s been for any season opener in his three-year Super Late Model career.

Two-Car PASS Super Late Model Effort Ready To Take Next Step

PASS RacingAfter a pair of wins last season and a runner-up finish in the PASS North Series championship standings, Mulkern Racing heads into 2012 eager to build on the success it forged in the second half of 2011.

New Brunswick driver Lonnie Sommerville is back with crew chief Gary Crooks to run the full PASS North schedule, while team owner Scott Mulkern will run a partial schedule with Seth Holbrook calling his shots atop the pit box. Sommerville won at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in July and finished second in the final standings as a PASS rookie – garnering co-Rookie of the Year honors for his efforts, while Mulkern won the season finale in October at Oxford Plains Speedway.

NAPLES ME (4/25) The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) will kick off it’s twelfth northeast racing season on Saturday May 5 at Scarborough Maine’s Beech Ridge Motor Speedway, and its an event that racers and race fans alike have looked forward to since the final checker of 2011. PASS North’s three touring series are slated for competition, and all three series defending champions will be back to try and duplicate their 2011 titles.

Tate Fogleman PASS/CCS super limited winner at Orange County Speedway

Graham, NC 4/25/12- In just his third ever race behind the wheel of a full size racecar Tate Fogleman, son of PASS South Series driver Jay Fogleman, scored his first career PASSCCS super limited late model win at the Orange County Speedway in Rougemont, North Carolina Saturday night. Fogleman piloted his #4 Bull City Racecars Chevy Impala to the win after taking the green flag from the third position. Jody Measemer, also in a Bull City race car, made it back-to-back runner up finishes with his second place finish. Austin Leitner was the final driver to take home a trophy with his third place finish.

Ross Kenseth scores first PASS South win at Orange County

Race leader Peltier breaks with three to go, Kenseth capitalizes

Charlotte, NC 4/23/12- Ross Kenseth proved Saturday night at the Orange County Speedway in Rougemont, North Carolina that in racing sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good. Kenseth scored his first career PASS South Series win as he passed Preston Peltier who experienced a broken left front lower control arm with just three laps remaining, winning the Orange Blossom Special 150.

Kenseth, who entered the event fifth in championship standings, showed he had a fast car before the green flag dropped on the 150 lap race as he set fast time during series qualifying earlier in the day. After the redraw of the top fastest qualifiers that took time in the twenty-six car starting field Kenseth would be shuffled back to fifth and Gray Gaulding was the lucky driver to lead the field to green.
