Joey Doiron Wins PASS North Series Rookie Of The Year
BERWICK, Maine — When the PASS North Series season rolled to an end last weekend at White Mountain Motorsports Park in North Woodstock, N.H., there was one celebration nobody witnessed in front of the main grandstands.
That celebration took place in a tiny corner of the tiny track’s sprawling pit area.
Joey Doiron completed his season as the series’ Rookie of the Year.

CHARLOTTE, NC (September 19) – Following a history making event at the North Wilkesboro Speedway on Labor Day weekend the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South Super Late Models return to action Saturday, September 25th at the Hickory (NC) Motor Speedway for the fourth running of the Over The Mountain 150. With only two events left in the 2010 racing season, Ryan Blaney, Preston Peltier, and Andy Loden are separated by just sixteen points as the race for the championship heads to Hickory.
At 16 Blaney is the youngest of the three championship contenders, but don’t let his age fool you. After winning the 2009 PASS South Rookie-Of-The-Year Award, Blaney has stepped up his game, winning three races this season and has led more laps (249) than any other driver, good enough to top the PASS South points standings.

Story by Evan Beaulieu
The Amsoil Nelcar Legends Tour rolled into their eighteenth race of the season this past weekend at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway. This race was one of the biggest events of the season for many reasons. Not only was it one of the last of the season, but it was a 50 lap National Qualifier for the Legends Nationals at Langley Speedway in Hampton, Virginia, and also was a part of the biggest weekend of Pro Stock racing in New England, the PASS 400. With a tight point’s battle and plenty on the line, this had the makings of being a great race.
For the first heat race, it was the 70 of Tylar Braunschweig on the pole with the 1 of Aaron Lewis on the outside. At the start, Braunschweig was able to get out to the early lead, but the 48 of Kendall Curit, who was up most of the night before replacing the motor in his car after an engine failure during practice on Friday, grabbed the lead. He never looked back and took the heat win. Braunschweig was able to hang on to finish second, with Lewis finishing third.
