Lawler starts PASS South championship charge with Easter Bunny triumph

Charlotte NC (March 13, 21008) After a successful debut season, the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South Super Late Models were ready to kick off 2007 where it all started, the Hickory Motor Speedway. What greeted the crews and drivers was the coldest day in North Carolina in over 80 years. While 20 degree temperatures might be the norm for the contingent of drivers making the trek down from New England, it was anything but normal for those who are used to celebrating Easter in short sleeves. Despite the cold weather, 37 of the best Super Late Model drivers in the country were set to battle it out in the South’s first major race of the season.

CHARLOTTE NC (March 6, 2008) The birth of the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South Super Late Model division came about in a very unconventional way. While the PASS North Super Late Models were enjoying success, Super Late Model racing in the Carolinas was all but dead. Only three tracks were running the division full-time and Concord Motorsport Park was struggling to revitalize the Big 10 Series. Through a series of chance conversations, PASS President Tom Mayberry decided to give it a go in January of 2006 and created PASS South. With only a few weeks before the first series race at Hickory Motor Speedway, the odds were against everybody involved.

Leavitt Racing Components partners with PASS Super Late Models

NAPLES ME – (March 5, 2008) Leavitt Racing Components is the latest motorsports company to team with The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) as a supporting manufacturer.

Leavitt Racing Components will award a $50.00 product certificate to the 5th place finisher in every 2008 PASS North and South super late model event. An additional $50.00 certificate will be presented to the driver who most improves their starting position when the checkered flag flies. Plus, one lucky driver who participates in 85% of each series’ races will receive a $250.00 product certificate, chosen by random draw.
