CHARLOTTE, NC (June 18) – After nearly a month off thanks to mother nature, the East Coast’s top Super Late Model drivers will have a chance to showcase their talents at two of the country’s top short tracks this weekend. On Saturday, the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South Super Late Models and PASS Pro Late Models will return to Southern National Motorsports Park in Kenly, NC, while the PASS North Super Late Models and PASS Modifieds will be back in action on Sunday at Maine’s legendary Oxford Plains Speedway.

WENATCHEE, Wash. – When you have your worst qualifying effort in over 4 years, you might just wonder if you might have missed the set up but Saturday night Shane Mitchell proved everyone wrong. After qualifying towards the tail end of the field Shane Mitchell came up with his first ever PASS win in the Montana Manroc Columbia River 150. “after qualifying we thought we got it wrong but we kept it and dad was real nervous” Mitchell said in victory lane “When the sun went down the car just came to us and I couldn’t be happier with the win”

WENATCHEE, WA (June 12) – After a successful opening event, Super Late Model racing’s best will gather again this weekend at Wenatchee Valley’s Super Oval (WVSO) for race two of the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Northwest Triple Crown. The Montana ManRoc Columbia River 150 will bring the Northwest’s best short trackers together to compete on the picturesque quarter-mile speedway. The PASS Northwest Triple Crown is providing racers and fans in the region with a professionally run tour for the first in the better part of a decade.

With the postponement of two races back to back the PASS North tour has added an event at Oxford Plains Speedway, Sunday, June 23, with heats at 4 and features to follow. The OPS regular divisions will run, the Outlaw Sportsman, Strictly and Minis for OPS points, along with the PASS Mods being added to the show. It is expected that many of the OPS weekly Pro Late Models, who will run their weekly event Friday June 21, will try their luck against the top touring drivers in the Northeast as this will be the final tune up for the PASS Super Late Models before the TD Bank 250 on July 21st. Expect a full field of drivers to be at OPS on June 23rd to fine tune their cars for the TD Bank 250.

Center Conway, NH – After three weeks off, DJ Shaw and the Precision JLM team will return to competition this weekend at Speedway 660 in New Brunswick, Canada for the fourth race of the PASS North Series season. Caught up in a wreck at Chaudiere Autodrome last time out, the team is looking forward to going north of the international border once again to Speedway 660, a track that DJ Shaw enjoys racing at.
“We usually run pretty good at Speedway 660,“ Shaw said of this weekend’s race, “I like racing there and as long as we can keep the fenders on it this weekend we should have a shot to win.”

Berwick, ME – It’s been three weeks since the PASS North Series was last on the track, and Joey Doiron with the 73 Wild Willy’s Burgers team have been anxious to get back on the track after one of the strongest starts in the Series history. After his improbable second place effort last time out at Chaudiere Autodrome, the team holds a 26 point lead over second place and defending PASS North champion, Travis Benjamin. This weekend the team will head north of the border once again to Speedway 660, a track Doiron has been looking forward to returning too.
“We had a great car there last year at 660,” said Doiron of the upcoming event, “We just had a few mechanical failures that set us back, so I’m looking forward to getting back up there and having another solid run.”
