BERWICK, Maine – Joey Doiron has seen both ends of the spectrum at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway this season, and he’s hoping for another dose of success when the PASS North Series returns to the track this weekend.

After winning the PASS North Series season opener at Beech Ridge in May, Doiron struggled in the series’ return date in early July. He’s hoping the season’s longest and most lucrative regular-season race – this weekend’s SouthernMaineMotors.com 300 on Sunday afternoon – will help him close out 2012 the way it began.

BRMS Champ Ready To Tackle PASS North Series’ Best On Own Turf

WINDHAM, Maine – Brad Babb would like to add one more piece of hardware to the trophy case this weekend when the PASS North Series invades Beech Ridge Motor Speedway for its premiere event of the season.

Babb, the 2012 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series track champion, will join some three dozen Super Late Model teams from across New England and Canada in the SouthernMaineMotors.com 300 at Beech Ridge this Sunday, September 16. Following open practice at the track on Friday afternoon, qualifying begins at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday and the main event is slated for approximately 3 p.m. on Sunday.

Babb, who won a 45-lap Pro Series feature in May at Beech Ridge, believes he has an advantage after running all summer at the .333-mile oval.

PASS 400 Weekend kicks off Thursday at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway

One of the northeast’s most anticipated racing extravaganzas is fast approaching! Thursday September 13th through Sunday September 16th Beech Ridge Motor Speedway hosts PASS 400 weekend presented by Southern Maine Motors.com. It’s an event that will showcase eleven different racing divisions from PASS Super Late Models to the mighty NEMA Midgets.

The action will be fast and furious on Thursday September 13 when the Mid Week Open Series gets the green; Mad Bombers, Outlaws, Stock Fours and Mini Trucks are the stars. There’s 50 laps and $500.00 to win for a 25 car field in each division and these racers are guaranteed to kick of the long weekend of racing in style. First heat is set for 5:45 PM

Cassius Clark wins PASS North Auto Value 250 at Speedway 660

PASS NorthFarmington, Maine’s Cassius Clark is the 2012 Auto Value 250 champion. Clark capped off an impressive SpeedWeekend run to take the checkered flag in Atlantic Canada’s biggest short track race of the season. The Pro All Star Series points leader won the race ahead of second place D.J. Shaw from Center Conway, New Hampshire and Matt Harris from Fredericton Junction.

“Wow what a run, the King Racing team of Rollie MacDonald gave me a great car tonight and I am thrilled to be the Auto Value 250 champion” said Clark in Speedway 660’s Victory Lane. “I love Canada and to follow up the Atlantic Cat 250 win at Scotia SpeedWorld with Speedway 660’s Auto Value 250 this year is certainly one of the biggest thrills of my racing career.”

Clark led 120 laps en route to his victory and picked up 21 thousand dollars in prize money. John Flemming captured the Modern Electric half way challenge, led 72 laps, finished 8th and takes home more than 67 hundred dollars in prize money.
