Scarborough, ME – Saturday’s NASCAR Nite Sport Series 35-lap feature event was won by recent high-school graduate Garrett Hall, of Scarborough.
Doug Wolfe, of Gorham, paced the 17-car field to the green flag, however gave up the lead to Westbrook’s Dave Charest on the first lap. Charest led the field until lap seven of the event, when Hall was able to gain an advantage coming out of the corner to capture the lead from him on lap eight. Hall didn’t look back in the caution free event and led until the checkered flag.
By the halfway mark, Gorham’s Sally Gheradi had safely maneuvered her way through the field and into the runner-up position after starting 7th in the event. Gheradi tried to run-down Hall, however he maintained his lead on her and the rest of the field.

Joey Doiron still atop standings, Andy Shaw claims PASS Mod win
Scarborough, Maine — Cassius Clark of Farmington, Maine became the first two-time winner of the 2013 Pro All Stars Series North Super Late Model season Saturday night, outdueling future New England Hall of Famer Mike Rowe to win the Southern Maine Motors 150 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine.
“It’s a lot of fun racing for the win with Mike Rowe,” Clark said after driving the Hight Motortsports 77 into victory lane. “Thanks to the Hights for the opportunity to drive for them, and to Brian and the guys for putting a great car underneath me.”
Clark prevailed in the season-opening 150-lapper at Oxford Plains Speedway, and entered the Beech Ridge event ranked third in PASS North driver points. Clark and Rowe swapped the top positions several times throughout the race after getting by early race leaders Martin Latulippe and Joey Doiron.

Friday’s NASCAR Nite Pro Series 50-lap feature event was won by junior driver Tyler King. The recent high-school graduate from Livermore Falls edged the lead from South Portland’s Mike Maietta, Jr., at the halfway point of the race.
Maietta led from the pole starting position, pacing the 17-car field to green flag. At the drop of the green flag, Maietta battled for the lead with Durham’s rookie Evan Beaulieu. On lap four, Maietta was able to gain an advantage going into turn one and took a car-length’s advantage over Beaulieu. Maietta led until the halfway mark, when King tried to conquer the lead from him.
Lap 24 proved worthwhile for King, as he followed from his second-row starting spot and made three separate attempts to overtake Maietta from the inside lane before becoming successful.

NASCAR Miller Lite 50: Bobby Timmons
Beech Ridge Motor Speedway Race Report
SCARBOROUGH, Maine – Bobby Timmons III of Windham, Maine, finished third in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Miller Lite 50 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Friday, July 5. It was Timmons’ third Top-3 finish in the last four starts in the Mulkern Racing No. 48 Southern Maine Chrysler Dodge Jeep/Timmons Machine Dodge as he continues climbing toward the top of the Pro Series point standings. Timmons started ninth in the caution-free main event and spent most of the race challenging for the runner-up spot while trying to chase down the leader. In six races this season, Timmons now has five Top-5 finishes.

NASCAR Miller Lite 50: Dan McKeage
Beech Ridge Motor Speedway Race Report
SCARBOROUGH, Maine – Dan McKeage of Gorham, Maine, finished second in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Miller Lite 50 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Friday, July 5. McKeage started 11th in the field and rolled all the way to the runner-up position without the benefit of a yellow flag in the caution-free Pro Series feature event. Unofficially, McKeage regained the division point lead with his third Top-5 finish of the season in the Naughty Racing No. 40 Top Gun Construction Chevrolet. He tried to reel in the race winner over the final 10 laps, but ran out of time as the leaders came up on lapped cars in the closing circuits.
