THE STORY
Joey Doiron of Berwick, Maine, enters NASCAR Whelen All-American Series competition when he races in the season-opening event for the Pro Series division at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Saturday, May 28. Doiron, who has a career-best PASS North Series finish of fourth at the track in 2010, has never competed in a 40-lap weekly event at the track. It will be his second time out this season with a car that made its 2011 debut at North Wilkesboro Speedway in North Wilkesboro, N.C., early last month. (more…)
This season opener at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway is right around the corner, and one of the drivers you will see on the track is Andy Fields. Though he has been passing the time away from the track doing some much needed fishing, but now that the snow is gone and its time to go racing.
Andy had planned on running a new race car this season, but his dad had suffered a heart attack in the off season. They were able to rush him to the hospital and get medical attention before the heart attack cause long term damage, and his farther is doing “great now”, commented Andy. So for now Andy will be running the old car at BRMS. (more…)
The season opener was at Beech Ridge this weekend. We went down to practice on Friday and due to the pits being very wet all super late models were parked on the infield. First practice we found oil leak, second practice we found some problems with the transmission. (more…)
The North East Mini Stock Tour is now in its third season. With NEMST 1st race of the season now in the books, as Zach Audet, driver of the number 19 car took the checkered flag at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway. The next stop for the tour is Star Speedway on May 14th. So we stopped by and made time with tour president and founder Robert Guptill. (more…)
