DYER SPEEDS HER WAY TO FIRST NAPA SUPER STREET WIN
Last Saturday was Mainely Motorsports night at Wiscasset Speedway. Mainely Motorsports host, Steve Perry, was on hand. Perry was greeting fans as they arrived, passing out t-shirts and goodie bags filled with items. Perry also gave away kids bikes to ten lucky children who participated in the Wiscasset Speedway Kid’s Club. The Kid’s Club is a weekly feature at Wiscasset Speedway.
Perry said, “This is our third year of having a Mainely Motorsports night here at Wiscasset Speedway, and I really enjoy it. I try to get more involved with the crowd and the drivers. I bring some extra contingency awards and give a bunch of things away to the fans, to bring more fans to the facility. Through my travels with Mainely Motorsports I have met a lot of great people, and I encourage people to come and support Wiscasset Speedway and watch five great divisions of racing.”

Speedway 95 News Release 05-16-15 by Bill Butler (guest Announcer for May 16 & May 23, 2015
(Hermon, Me) Mother Nature held off what look like impending rain Saturday, to help Speedway 95 could get another race date in the books for the young season.
The Coca Cola Company Sport Four division saw a dominating performance from point’s leader Andrew Crosby of Hermon. Crosby took the top place in 2nd heat race of the division, and had his car locked in for the feature as well. Despite two yellow flags, and one red flag for incidents on the track, Crosby held on to the top spots after grabbing the lead, and held it for all the remaining laps to the checkered flag. He was followed by Jeff Overlock, Jr. of Hermon in second, and Jeremy Scott of Carmel in third place.

Despite a coolness to the air, fans gathered last Saturday at Wiscasset Speedway to watch the group two division of racing. On the agenda was the Spotlighted division, Modifieds, as well as Strictly Street, Late Model Sportsman, Outlaw Mini’s, and the flex race of the week, a one hundred lap Enduro.
First on the track were the Modifieds, competing in a forty lap spotlight feature. Starting at the pole was the #39 of Mike Brown. Behind him were the #61 of Shawn Austin and Jairet Harrison of the #85. When green flag racing began, the #20 of Gary Thorne leapt to the forefront. Thorne took second by the completion of lap one. Nipping at Thorne’s heels was Mark Lucas of the #5. Lucas followed Thorne to the front of the pack, and by lap five, Thorne was leading the race, with Austin in second, and Lucas in third.
Oxford, Maine – Former track champion Timmy Brackett of Buckfield took a first step toward reclaiming the track crown won last season by his son TJ with a 50-lap triumph in the Budweiser Super Late Models, topping the card on Applebees night Saturday at Oxford Plains Speedway.
Brackett started on the front row, outgunned New Hampshire racer Andy Shaw at the start, then fended off several challenges by Peru’s Gary Chiasson to put his NAPA Auto Parts=sponsored car number 60 in victory lane.
Chiasson and Minot’s Scott Farrington waged an entertaining battle for runner-up honors, with Chiasson prevailing as the checkered flag waved. Shaw managed to claim a fourth-place finish, with the top five filled out by Justin Gibbons of Bridgton. Brackett and Shaw won 12-lap heat races.
