 (Hermon, Me) Kris Watson of Hermon, picked up the win, but it was Sullivan’s Richard Burrill who took the championship in the third and final 50-lap race of the CAM II Racing Fuels Super Street Series. Watson held the front of the field to take the win despite a caution at lap 22, when Travis Beale blew his engine, but Burrill secured the points championship for the series after a lapped car opened up the door for him to pass Mike Overlock of Franklin, and finish the race in the second spot.

Jimmy Childs, two-time Mini Stock champ, Late Model rookie, gets breakthrough win

OXFORD, Maine – Thirty wins. Two championships. Jimmy Childs' credentials in more than a decade as a Mini Stock driver at Oxford Plains Speedway were undeniable.
Running up front in an Oxford Networks Late Model is an entirely different challenge, though. Three months full of ups, downs, speed bumps and forks in the road left one of the speedway's most confident competitors questioning himself.

Persistence pays for Missy Blash in first Ladies Acceleration Series victory

OXFORD, Maine – After giving up the lead in her last three Allen's Coffee Flavored Brandy Ladies division starts, Missy Blash wouldn't be denied in her second try of Wednesday night at Oxford Plains Speedway.

Blash finally finished what — and where — she started, holding off six-time feature winner Dottie Patria and first-race rival Deanna Robertson to earn the first 20-lap Acceleration Series victory of her career.

RACING – JULY 25 at Unity

Racing and Santa returned to Unity Raceway this week. After a week delay, the Unity Variety and Video Wildcats were able to compete in their extended feature. The heat race saw door to door action between Maurice Young and Dustin Hubbard. Hubbard used the inside groove to make the pass and take home the checkered flag for the heat race win. The feature saw Tim Hudson take the #4 to the lead. Hubbard and veteran, Mike Hodgkins, start reeling in Hudson. Hubbard again uses the inside lane to make the pass on Hudson for the lead. Hodgkins also uses the inside trying to make the pass.

 (Hermon, Me)  Budweiser night was held at Speedway 95 in Hermon on Saturday, July 26th.

In the Pro-Limited heat race, Brenton Parritt of Steuben suffered mechanical issues and had to leave the race, but hard work on the vehicle between the heat and feature brought Parritt back out for the feature race, where he took the lead early and held it to the checkered flag. Last weeks feature winner Dale Swoboda crossed the line for second, with Duane Seekins of Stockton Springs in third, in the caution-free race.

Spencer storms to Late Model victory Daigle wins first in wild Mini finale

OXFORD, Maine – The reborn paint scheme of motion picture race car Lightning McQueen caught just about every fan's eye when Dennis Spencer Jr. rolled onto the track Saturday night at Oxford Plains Speedway.
As for Spencer, he thought the prettiest sight of the evening was the one in his rear-view mirror.
With Travis Stearns and Daren Ripley dicing it out side-by-side for some 20 laps and holding back Shawn Martin in the process, Spencer was untouchable on the way to his first 40-lap Oxford Networks Late Model victory of the season.
