Deputy Mike Raiche’s Driving Skills Earn $10k for Child Advocacy Center
LOUDON, N.H.– With a sterling time of 44.334 seconds, Strafford County Deputy Mike Raiche burned through a tricky road course to capture the top spot of the 2013 Race to Benefit Children “Sheriffs Showdown.” Deputy Raiche narrowly held off Carroll County Sheriff Domenic Richardi to win the event at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
Raiche navigated his cruiser through a course featuring a slalom, a water hazard and multiple hairpin turns to take home a special prize for children in need. Thanks to his speedy driving, Deputy Raiche received a $10,000 check to help fund the Strafford County Child Advocacy Center (CAC), which assists children who are victims of crime and abuse. (more…)
St-Eustache, QC – The Série ACT event scheduled for Saturday, June 22nd at Autodrome St-Eustache in St-Eustache, QC has been postponed due to weather. A rain date is to be announced.
Jean-Francois Dery won the opener at St-Croix, QC’s Circuit Riverside Speedway, after two previous rainouts at Autodrome Montmagny and Autodrome St-Eustache. Patrick Cliche currently leads the points on Série ACT, with Dery and long-time veteran Claude Leclerc just behind. This will be the third rainout in four races for Série ACT, which will have an unprecedented purse in 2013 with over $400,000 in purse through 11 races.

FORT KENT, Maine – Austin Theriault of Fort Kent, Maine, returns to the PASS South Series for the Rumble In The Pines 150 at Southern National Motorsports Park in Kenly, N.C., on Saturday, June 22. Theriault has made just three PASS South starts this season, recording his second career PASS-sanctioned win in a 150-lap event at Dillon Motor Speedway in March. In three PASS South races this season, Theriault has a pair of Top-3 finishes and has not finished outside the Top-6 in the Brad Keselowski Racing No. 29 Checkered Flag Foundation Ford Fusion. The Rough Riders, are a division of 6-cylinder cars, ten years old or older, designed to introduce competitors to racing in a way that is cheap, simple, and most of all, fun. MARNE, Mich. – Brad Keselowski Racing development driver Austin Theriault of Fort Kent, Maine, finished sixth in the ARCA/CRA Super Series Battle At Berlin 251 at Berlin Raceway in Marne, Mich., on Saturday, June 15. Theriault qualified inside the Top-10, raced most of the night inside the Top-5 and was battling with the leaders for a podium finish when he pitted for tires with less than 30 laps remaining. After restarting 16th in the field, Theriault gained 10 spots over the final 20 laps to finish sixth for the first Top-10 finish of his career in the marquee early summer race event. (more…)
