The young driver ended up winning the last 5 out of 10 ACT Point and non-point races, including the Vermont Milk Bowl at Thunder Road Speedbowl. LOUDON, N.H. (Sept. 1, 2011) -NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour regulars beware, Ryan “Rocketman” Newman will once again tackle New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the New Hampshire 100 on Saturday, Sept. 24.
Newman will make his third modified start of the 2011 season and his seventh career start at “The Magic Mile.” This time it will be behind the wheel of the No. 77 (not his usual No.7) Aggressive Hydraulics/ Menards Chevrolet led by crew chief Steve Lindstrum. (more…)
Travis Beale of Hampden followed Darren Durrell of Newburgh for 19 and ¾ laps of the 20 lap Little Enduro feature Wednesday night at Speedway 95, but took the lead coming out of turn four on the last lap to post his 4th feature win of the season. Durrell finished in second, but won the season championship in the division after 8 years of trying. Durrell admitted to slowing down just a bit on the last lap to be sure he finished the race to clinch the points title. Ted Ryder of Carmel placed a close third after starting 16th in the 20 car field. Garrett Hayman of Milford drove another steady race, finishing fourth, with Jeremy Scott of Carmel finishing in fifth. Ryder and Durrell were the night’s heat race winners. (more…)
Barre, VT – Thunder Road International Speedbowl and Bond Auto Parts have teamed up to help a local food shelf following Hurricane Irene. Fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to this weekend’s Bond Auto Labor Day Classic at Thunder Road in Barre on Sunday, September 4.
Bond Auto trucks will be located at all Thunder Road gates this weekend and will be accepting non-perishable food items and cash donations to benefit the Waterbury Food Shelf which lost its entire inventory in last week’s flooding. (more…)
Even though the 2011 Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South season is winding down, the chase for the championship is heating up as the series heads to Ace Speedway in Altamahaw, North Carolina, for The Labor Day Classic on Saturday, September 3rd.
