Loudon,
NH – Thirty-five American Canadian Tour Late Model teams attended the annual test and tune session at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Wednesday, September 4 in preparation for the 5th Annual Bond Auto ACT Invitational in a couple weeks. The full day of practice only saw a couple of incidents and several different teams atop the time charts.
Williamstown, VT’s Jimmy Hebert set the fast time of the day with a 31.491 at an average speed of 120.9 mph. Hebert has two ACT wins already this season and is currently sitting third in the standings. Hebert was the cause of the second minor incident of the day as he cut a right front tire and swiped the wall coming off turn two. The car received some damage but he was able to limp it back to the pit area.
Eddie MacDonald drove from his twelfth place starting position to finish fourth in the Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 140 at Greenville Pickens Speedway in the eleventh K&N Pro Series East race this season. It was the second visit to the “Old House of Racing” this season with MacDonald taking the checkers in eighth place in the March race. Monday’s Labor Day finish solidifies Eddie Mac’s fourth place standing in the point’s race trailing third place by only four points with four races remaining.
The Grimm Construction Chevy/Multiple Sclerosis Chevy qualified twelfth in the 23 car field in 21.051 sec. around the flat half mile oval. Eddie Mac ran seventh fastest in the first practice session and ran 19th on old tires in the second practice saying, “The car ran well in the first practice and we knew we would be okay for the race. We qualified in twelfth and that is about what we expected. The important thing on this track is to save your tires for the end. The drivers that do that the best will be there at the end of the race.” (more…)
North Woodstock, NH – Joey Doiron and the 73 Wild Willy’s Burgers/JBJ Machine team went to northern New Hampshire this past weekend for a double header at White Mountain Motorsports Park. After the feature event was rained out the last time the PASS North Series made their trip to the track, it would be two 150 lap events in one day. Doiron was able to do the unthinkable, and dominate both races to the win.
“We’ve been knocking on the door every week and lead a lot of laps but to finally get back into Victory Lane is huge for us,” Doiron said after the wins, “We tried something different today with our setup and it worked out, this team is great and we scored max points today, can’t ask for much more.”

Scarborough, ME – In the final race of his rookie season, Evan Beaulieu lead every lap to take his first win in the 56 Hancock Lumber/K&B Automotive Chevrolet in the Pro Series division at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway last Saturday night. With tears in his eyes in Victory Lane, Beaulieu realized just how big of a moment it was to win in the state’s premier division.
“This is incredible and I’m at a loss of words, I really can’t describe how special this is,” Beaulieu said jubilantly in victory lane, “I’m so proud of this, I’ve had a great team behind me all year and we’ve all been building up to this together, it hasn’t been easy and there were many nights we struggled, but it makes this win that much more special and I can’t wait to celebrate with them.”
Lee, NH – It was “Back to School” Night at Lee USA Speedway on Friday, with dozens of school kids getting to ride with their favorite race drivers around “New Hampshire’s Center of Speed” prior to the beginning of the night’s racing action.
With the championship season quickly winding down, all of Lee’s weekly divisions were in action, with second place points man Mike Netishen scoring his third win of the 2013 campaign in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Small Block Supermodified 30-lap Benson Lumber and hardware-sponsored main event.
