The Racing Community Steps up to Support Ted Christopher Memorial 13 Lap Shootout
(Stafford Springs, CT)—Since the announcement of the Inaugural TC 13 SK Modified® shootout, scheduled for Friday July 13th in honor of Ted Christopher, the out pouring of support from the Stafford Speedway racing community has been strong. Stafford Speedway announced a $1,300 payouts to be paid to the winner of the event but was in search of supporters for the remaining purse. Short track racing supporters have stepped up in a big way. NAPA Auto Parts of Tolland, LifeCare Family Chiropractic, Gaston Racing Enterprises, Wheelers Automotive, and George Bierce have each committed $500 to the purse for the July 13th TC 13 Shootout. In addition to the purse donations, Peter Rappoccio from Sign Pro will be sponsoring the winner’s trophy for the TC 13 Shootout.

Stafford To Host 13-lap Shootout, July 13th In Honor Of Ted Christopher
(Stafford Springs, CT)—The Stafford Speedway management is proud to announce a new addition to the Friday, July 13th race program, a 13-lap SK Modified® Shootout in honor of the late Ted Christopher. The shootout, dubbed the “TC 13,” will occur directly following the regularly scheduled 40-lap feature. The field for the TC 13 will be filled by the top 13 finishers in the 40-lap feature and inverted with the 13th place finisher starting on the pole for the TC 13 shootout. (more…)

North East Mini Stock Tour Heads Into New England Short Track Showdown on a Roll
Three Different Winners in Four Events Starts Out the 2018 Season
The smallest racecars that will make up the second annual New England Short Track Showdown at New Hampshire Motor Speedway are riding a king-sized wave of momentum into this coming weekend’s event. So far in 2018, the North East Mini Stock Tour is seeing a season where there have been three different winners in the first four events and a total of 41 competitors who have entered a race this season.

Barre, VT – The weekly racing season for Barre’s Thunder Road Speedbowl arrives this Friday, June 8 with Capitol City Automart Night. The special Friday night event marks the unofficial start of summer in central Vermont as racing engines roar to life under the lights.
The event will be one of the biggest of the year for the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers. The famed division opens the Myers Container Service Triple Crown Series on Friday with a 75-lap main event. It is the second year for the 3-race series after a successful debut in 2017.

Eddie MacDonald appeared poised for a top five finish in the American Canadian Tour’s Caron Fabrication 151 at Speedway 51 in Groveton, N.H. on Saturday, June 2 only to be caught in a lap 62 wreck. After a tremendous effort by the crew, Eddie Mac returned to the race without losing a lap to post a 12th place finish despite the severe damage.
On lap 62, two of the leaders tangled on the front stretch collecting the EXIT Realty/Hancock Electric Chevy in the melee causing extensive front end damage with the frustrated veteran racer saying, “ It happened right in front of me and I did not have any place to go, The hood was pushed up and I couldn’t even see out of the windshield and it looked pretty bad but Laura (LaChance) radioed that the car was not leaking so with some guidance I made it back to the pits and the crew went to work,”

WALPOLE N.H. – The Granite State Pro Stock Series presented by Springfield Buick GMC will be rolling into Connecticut’s New London-Waterford Speedbowl Saturday, May 26th with a unique Triple 35 Format with Time Trials.
Two Maine drivers lead the way, Jacob Dore of Sanford and Joey Doiron of Berwick look to continue their success far from home. “I like Waterford, we’ll see if we can go for two in a row, I’ve never done that before.” Dore said. “We never really got to show our strength in Claremont but, Waterford will be a track where we will be really good at.” Doiron said.
