Charlotte, NC 4/3/12- Every Easter hunting for eggs is a tradition around the country with a special “prize egg” as the one sought out egg amongst all young egg hunters. In most occasions that prize egg holds money that every kid desires so bad, and the fact they can brag about being the best Easter egg hunter to others is always a bonus. This Saturday at the Hickory (NC) Motor Speedway one of the biggest “prize eggs” in the country, worth about $5,000, is up for grabs in the seventh annual running of the PASS South Easter Bunny 150.
Over forty cars are expected to converge on the 3/8th mile track for Saturday night’s event. Former Easter Bunny 150 winners Ben Rowe, Ryan Lawler, Preston Peltier, and Stephen Nasse will all look to become the first repeat winner. If history is anywhere close to repeating itself the Easter Bunny 150 winner will give fans a pretty solid indication on who will win the series championship in 2012, as four out of six champions the series has crowned, won the 150 lap event the same year they won the series points championship.

Eddie MacDonald took the green flag in his 145th start in the K & N East Series second race of the season at the historic Greenville Pickens Speedway posting a fifth place finish. After rain washed out the qualifying, the grid
was set by NASCAR points with the Grimm Construction Chevy starting eighth in the Kevin Whitaker 150 on the flat, half mile oval with the nickname “The old house of racing.”
The Rowley, Mass. veteran maintained positioning in the top ten throughout the event and was pleased with the run saying, “We really needed this after the troubles at Bristol. You always hope you can do better but this fifth
place finish really feels good. Rollie (LaChance) did a great job with the set up and I was able to keep it low in the corners. This first turn is the key to a good lap around this place. You have to be able to run your line to
set up for the exit off of turn two, and the car was perfect.”
