THE STORY
Austin Theriault of Fort Kent, Maine, will return to ACT Late Model Tour racing action at Twin State Speedway in Claremont, NH, Saturday July 9. This will mark Theriault’s second stop at the tight, egg-shaped speedway where he finished 10th in his first start at the track. Theriault has spent the last two off-weekends getting seat time by running the Governor’s Cup at Thunder Road International Speedbowl and last weekend’s Saturday night Late Model event at Oxford Plains Speedway. The RPM Motorsports No. 57 Varney Insurance Ford team hopes to come out of Twin State Speedway with a solid Top-10 and swing some momentum to their side leading up to the TD Bank 250.

THE STORY
Brent Dragon of Milton, Vt., and the ACT Late Model Tour will return to Twin State Speedway in Claremont, N.H., for the Twin State 100 on Saturday, July 9. Dragon, who has more ACT starts than any driver in history, won this event in 2009 as part of a midsummer surge. In his last appearance at the track, Dragon was again in contention for a win when an on-track incident relegated him to a 13th place finish. Dragon will bring with him his knowledge of the track and his past strong performances as he races for his first ACT Tour win of the 2011 season.
BETHANY, Conn.- For the third consecutive year, LATICRETE International Inc., based in Bethany, Connecticut will be supporting the LATICRETE Port City 100 event at the Lee USA Speedway in Lee, New Hampshire on Friday, July 8th. The NASCAR sanctioned track will have race events for the Valenti Modified Racing Series and the NASCAR Small Block Super Modifieds as part of the same special event program.
This is a unique sponsorship venture rarely seen in the racing community. In cooperation with Lee track owners Red and Judy MacDonald, a majority of the LATICRETE sponsorship money will go directly into the purse payoff, adding incentives this year for both the 100-lap Modified and 30-lap Super Modified events. Ben Rowe scores PASS North Firecracker 150 win
First PASS North checker of 2011 for the four time PASS North Champion
Canaan NH (7/3) Ben Rowe reclaimed the lead from Richie Dearborn on lap 116 of Saturday night’s Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North Firecracker 150 at Canaan Fair Speedway and raced on for his first PASS North win of the season. Alex Gingras and Scott Dragon both earned career best finishes, crossing under the checkers in second and third. (more…)

CANAAN, N.H. – Lonnie Sommerville of Saint John, New Brunswick, rallied for a hard-fought fifth-place finish in the PASS North Series Firecracker 150 at Canaan Fair Speedway in Canaan, N.H., on Saturday, July 2. Sommerville took the lead briefly in the event’s early going after starting fourth, but a broken control arm before the halfway mark significantly hindered the handling on the No. 48 A.E. McKay Builders/Community Pharmacies Chevrolet. Sommerville, who posted his third Top-5 in five races this season in the Mulkern Racing entry, led a total of nine laps on the night. He never dropped lower than sixth in the running order and used a couple of late restarts to crack the Top-5 in his first-ever visit to Canaan. (more…)
