In a monumental announcement, Canaan Fair Speedway promoter,
Dick Therrien and Lee USA Speedway promoter, Bob Watson are pleased to
announce the formation of a brand new six race Pro Stock series for the 2011
racing season. The series will be sponsored by Coors and will be featuring
three races at each track, culminating with the championship event at
Octoberfest at Lee.
“Bob and I have been working on this for the past couple of
months and now have pretty much got the final touches on the plan, stated
Therrien. We sat down this past Saturday and worked out most of the details.
The only thing major left is to decide on which brand of tire we go with,

PASS North celebrates 2010 at Banquet of Champions
NAPLES ME (1/15) A full house of PASS drivers, car owners, team members and fans gathered Friday night to celebrate the 2010 season and honor the racers who make the three PASS North touring series some of the best short track racing in the east.
In his opening remarks PASS President Tom Mayberry’s hit upon the series’ new dates at Oxford Plains Speedway and L’Autodrome Chaudiere, the addition of series sponsors Crane Cams Ignition and AP Racing, and the switch to Hoosier racing tires for all three Northern tours for 2011.Mayberry noted that a strong contingent of PASS North teams have pre entered THE RACE at Historic North Wilkesboro and he believes that the event is on track for an 80-90 car super late model field when the $75,000.00 to win PASS South race gets the green on April 7-9. Corin Todd dominates Pro Stock final at Ossipee
Dale Petrus wins first Semi-Pro final since 2008
OSSIPEE, N.H. (Jan. 15, 2011) – Rookie sensation Corin Todd fulfilled a lifelong dream Saturday, dominating the Pro Stock final as Day 1 wrapped up at the Ossipee Fire Department in Round 3 on the 2010-2011 East Coast Snocross (ECS) campaign.
Todd (JAC Racing/Arctic Cat), of Otego, New York, was competing on a sled borrowed from teammate Jesse James Bonaduce after his primary machine suffered mechanical failure. The 17-year-old athlete followed fellow Pro rookie Lincoln Lemieux into Turn 1, but led the field across the line for lap 1 and never looked back. What makes this win even more special is the fact it was 25 grueling laps, tough for even the most seasoned veterans. (more…)
Canaan, NH. – (January 11, 2011) – Valenti Modified Racing Series officials have announced their intent to create a new series for pro-stock racers scheduled to begin competition during the 2011 racing season.
The proposed tour has been named Granite State Pro-Stock Series.
The joint announcement was made by VMRS president and founder Jack Bateman, Series Director John Hoyt, and longtime area pro-stock racer Mike Parks. (more…)
