Barre, VT – Seventeen-year-old Stephen Donahue of Graniteville was not to be denied at Thunder Road on Thursday, August 13 as he took the overall win in the Bond Auto Tiger Sportsmen Twin 50s on U.S. Army Recruiting Night.
The rookie won the first 50-lap feature after Wolcott’s Brendan Moodie blew a right-front tire while racing with Donahue coming to the white flag. But Donahue had a right front of his own go down on lap 12 of the second feature after contact with point leader Jason Woodard.

HUDSON, NH – Derek Griffith continues his breakout year, racking up solid finishes on the Granite State Pro Stock Series, including his first four wins on the tour. In June, Griffith won in front of his hometown crowd at Hudson International Speedway, and is hopeful for another good run on August 23.
Griffith has lead the championship standings since the second race of the season, only finishing outside the top 6 once, at Speedway 51 after expiring a motor. The young star has had a season like no other driver in the tour’s history, and with only three races left, the 2015 championship is lurking in the back Griffith’s mind.

Dave Shullick, Jr. tops ISMA Supers, Keyser, Russell, Dumas, Washburn, and Tellier take NASCAR Whelen All-American Series wins.
Lee, NH – Ridgefield, Ohio’s Dave Shullick, Jr. strengthened his points lead in the International Supermodified Association (ISMA) 2015 championship battle at Lee USA Speedway on Friday night, taking his second career victory in the annual Ollie Silva Memorial Classic aboard the Jim Bodnar entry.
“Shoe II” snatched the lead away from fellow Ohioan Tim Ice on lap 53 of the 75 lap event, and he set the pace the rest of the way to collect the checkered flag. Defending race winner Jon McKennedy of Chelmsford, MA made a late-race charge to finish second, after taking the green deep in the field in the 20th spot.

Barre, VT – Barre’s Nick Sweet picked up his second Thunder Road Late Model win of the season with a thrilling performance late in the Enpro Services/Safelite Auto Glass Trophy Dash on Thursday, August 6.
Sweet started 11th and was looking to the outside of Montpelier’s Josh Demers with two circuits remaining in the 50-lap feature when Shawn Fleury spun in turn 1, setting up a green-white-checkered dash to the finish. Sweet got the nose up on the restart and rode the momentum on the outside groove to the win, exiting his car to thunderous applause in Victory Lane.

Winchester, NH – The Granite State Pro Stock Series will travel to Monadnock Speedway, on August 8, for the JBH 100. The JBH 100 will be the ninth event of the 12-race season, and will be the eighth time the Granite State Pro Stock Series has visited the facility since the series’ inception, and the second time in 2015. The following is a closer look at the numbers of the Granite State Pro Stock Series (GSPSS), and Monadnock Speedway.
MONADNOCK SPEEDWAY NOTES:

St-Felicien, QC – Série American-Canadian Tour (ACT) point leader Dany Trépanier broke into the winner’s circle for the first time this season by capturing the St-Felicien 150 at Quebec’s Autodrome St-Felicien on Saturday, August 1.
The St-Edourard, QC driver won the first segment of the two-segment event, leading the final 19 laps en route to the win. Trépanier then finished second to former Série ACT Champion Jean-François Déry in the second segment to take the overall win with a combined score of three points. It is the third Série ACT win of Trépanier’s career and first since July 2014.
