Poirier, Acker notch final round wins in Salamanca for East Coast Snocross, Presented by AMSOIL, Woody’s Traction and FXR

4 - ECS LogoSALAMANCA, N.Y. (Feb. 9, 2015) – Defending and four-time Pro Open champion Danny Poirier and Pro Lite veteran Wade Acker notched final round victories in their respective classes Saturday, as East Coast Snocross (ECS) completed Round 5 at the Seneca Allegany Casino and Resort.

The regional points races were part of International Series of Champions’ (ISOC) U.S. Air Force Nationals, stop No. 5 for the AMSOIL Championship Snocross series. A record crowd gathered to see Tucker Hibbert (Pro Open) and Ryan Springer (Pro Lite) sweep their classes on Friday and Saturday.

Return to North Adams next stop for East Coast Snocross, Presented by AMSOIL, Woody’s Traction and FXR

4 - ECS LogoCLARKSBURG, Mass. (Feb. 9, 2015) – After a successful debut there last winter, the excitement of championship snowmobile racing returns to western Massachusetts, as East Coast Snocross (ECS) will contest round six of its nine-race 2015 schedule on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 14-15, at The Range in North Adams.

Spectator gates open at 9 a.m. each day, with all Finals concluding shortly after 3:30 p.m. Admission is $15 per day for adults or $25 for a weekend pass. Children age 7 and under will be admitted free with a paying adult. Pit passes valid through the weekend are available for an extra $10.

Brunelle, Poirier split Pro finals at Snow Ridge for East Coast Snocross, Presented by AMSOIL, Woody’s Traction and FXR

4 - ECS LogoTURIN, N.Y. (Feb. 2, 2015) – Veteran snowmobile racers Lucas Brunelle and Danny Poirier each claimed a Pro final over the weekend, as East Coast Snocross (ECS) completed Round 4 at the beautiful Snow Ridge Ski Resort.

Brunelle, of North Hatley, Quebec, led all 12 laps of Saturday’s final aboard his Team Southside/Mystic Lubricants Polaris. New York native Michael George (daSilva Racing/Ski-doo) put in a solid effort to secure second, while Poirier edged Swedish sensation Johan Dahlgren for third after a torrid battle.

Dahlgren sweeps Pro finals in Schaghticoke for East Coast Snocross, Presented by AMSOIL, Woody’s Traction and FXR

ECS LogoSCHAGHTICOKE, New York (Jan. 19, 2015) – Swedish snocross sensation Johan Dahlgren made a clean sweep of the Pro classes over the weekend, as East Coast Snocross (ECS) completed Round 2 of its nine-race 2015 schedule at the historic Schaghticoke Fairgrounds.

On Saturday, Dahlgren, of Tannas, Sweden, worked his way past early leader Jake daSilva (daSilva Racing/Ski-doo) on lap seven of 12 and powered home for top honors. Four-time and defending champion Danny Poirier (Ingles Performance/Ski-doo) made a late-race charge to secure second, while daSilva hung on for a third-place podium finish.

ECS Snocross News: Bangor, Maine Event Recap

dvsdfsdgBANGOR, Maine (Jan. 15, 2015) – Veteran snowmobile racers Mathieu Morin and Danny Poirier earned final round victories last weekend, as East Coast Snocross (ECS) opened its 2015 season with the inaugural Paul Bunyan International at historic Bass Park in Bangor, Maine.

Morin, of Val-d’Or, QC, snuck past his Ingles Performance/Ski-doo teammate Poirier on the final lap Sunday to notch his first win since 2011. Poirier powered to victory
in Saturday’s grueling 13-lap final with a wire-to-wire dominant performance.
