Star-Studded Field Expected for the IWK 250
JAMES RIVER, NS (July 4, 2018) – Thirty-seven top teams have filed entry forms to compete in this year’s IWK 250 presented by Steve Lewis, the highlight of the IWK 250 Super Race Weekend set for July 12 to 14 at Riverside International Speedway. The impressive expected entry list features drivers from six Canadian provinces and two U.S. states and includes five IWK 250 champions, four Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour champions, two Speedway 660 pro stock champions, one PASS North SLM champion, and Kenny Wallace – one of NASCAR’s top personalities and a member of the FOX Sports Racing NASCAR broadcast team.

Cole Butcher Wins Parts for Trucks 150 at Oyster Bed Speedway
(Oyster Bed Bridge, PE, June 30, 2018) – Cole Butcher (Porter’s Lake, NS) picked up his second victory of the season and his first Series win at Oyster Bed Speedway tonight in front of a capacity crowd. Jonathan Hicken (Brudenell, PE) battled hard with Butcher but ended up second in the caution filled race. 2017 Oyster Bed Speedway victor Greg Proude (Springvale, PE) completed the podium followed by Nicholas Naugle (Dartmouth, NS) and Dylan Gosbee (Cornwall, PE).

The ‘Cat Car for Kids’ has grown to become a brand of its own and a unique element of the IWK 250. NASCAR Star Kenny Wallace Announces Entry in IWK 250
JAMES RIVER, NS – One of NASCAR’s most popular personalities, Kenny Wallace, will be at Riverside International Speedway this July for the IWK 250 presented by Steve Lewis. Wallace, whose infectious personality and trademark laugh have made him a long-time fan favourite, announced his entry into the event this afternoon on his Twitter account.
“Hello Canada,” said Wallace in the tweet. “I am excited to come see the beautiful area of Nova Scotia and race on asphalt Saturday, July 14 at Riverside (International) Speedway. I will see you this summer.”
