THE STORY
Joey Doiron looks to rebound from a disappointing start to the 2011 season when the PASS North Series competes in the Star 150 at Star Speedway in Epping, N.H., on Saturday, May 14. The 2010 PASS Rookie of the Year won his one and only career start at the newly-resurrected Star Speedway, having taken the checkered flag in an open competition Late Model race at the track in 2008. Naples ME (5/10) The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North super late models begin a two week run of bull ring racing on Saturday May 14 when the the series returns to the Weber family’s Star Speedway/ for 150 green flag laps. The racing is fast and close at the Epping New Hampshire oval, and the venerable quarter mile will deliver an exciting, action packed feature from green to checkers. (more…)
FIve races, five different faces in PASS South super late model winners circle
The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South Super Late Models traveled to Virginia’s South Boston Speedway on Saturday night and after 150 green flag laps Andy Loden drove to victory lane to earn his first win of the 2011 racing season.
24 drivers hit the track under the sunny skies and Preston Peltier made it two fast times in a row with a 15.049-second lap. Cale Gale, Loden, Philip Morris, Daniel Hemric, Jody Lavender, Justin Wakefield, Stephen Nasse, Ryan Blaney and David Quackenbush rounded out the top-10 qualifiers. (more…)
Melissa Fifield driver of the number 17 Allison Legacy car has had a roller coaster ride to start the 2011 race season. After getting turned by a fellow driver during the season opener ay Lee Speedway, the 17 car had to settle for last place. But there is no where to go but forward and that’s just what Melissa did last weekend as she took the checkered flag at Waterford Speedbowl, getting her first career win in the Allison Legacy Series. Waterbury, VT –The American Canadian Tour (ACT) announced today the criteria and format for the first NHMS – ACT All Star event to be held at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) over the weekend of August 12-13, 2011.
The event will be presented as part of the announced INDY weekend at the region’s largest sporting facility, and only super speedway. The NASCAR Whelen Modified Division will join the ACT Late Models as part of an “ALL STAR” weekend for short track, featuring full-fendered ACT Late Models and the open-wheeled NASCAR Modifieds.
