Drivers Head to Virginia for 150 Laps of Super Late Model Racing Action
With two stops in both South Carolina and North Carolina in the 2011 racing season, the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South presented by JE Pistons and Roush Yates Performance Products heads to Virginia on Saturday, May 7th, for 150-laps of Super Late Model racing action at South Boston Speedway. The season opener was at Beech Ridge this weekend. We went down to practice on Friday and due to the pits being very wet all super late models were parked on the infield. First practice we found oil leak, second practice we found some problems with the transmission. (more…)

BARRE, VT – Brian Hoar of Williston, Vt., finished fifth in the ACT Late Model Tour Merchants Bank 150 at Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, Vt., on Sunday, May 1. The finish marked the second consecutive Top-5 finish to open the season for the RPM Motorsports driver, who started the event from the pole after qualifying through the consolation round.

The K & N Pro Series East made its inaugural trip to Richmond International Raceway as part of the big NASCAR Cup weekend that featured the Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown, the Nationwide Series, as well as the Sprint Cup. All 38 teams that entered for the K & N Blue Ox 100 took the green flag for 75
laps over the tree-quarter high-banked oval. MacDonald started 11th on the grid and was able to finish in the fourteenth position despite some first time obstacles. (more…)

BARRE, Vt. – Brent Dragon overcame a mechanical issue to take home a 15th-place finish in the ACT Late Model Tour Merchants Bank 150 at Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, Vt., on Sunday, May 1. Around Lap 20, Dragon lost the power steering in his Avery Motorsports but still managed to finish in the top half of the field for the second straight race after starting out from the sixth postion.
