AOW Modifieds Release 2011 Schedule
The AOW Modified Tour is pleased to announce our 2011 schedule which features events in all three maritime provinces & the U.S. State of Maine.
Highlights of the season include events at the re-opened Petty International Raceway near Moncton NB, returning dates at the ½-mile Lake Doucette Motor Speedway near Yarmouth NS, the Centre for Speed near Shediac NB, & Spud Speedway in Caribou, Maine.

Young Racer Uses Patience to Take Win at Dillon Motor Speedway
Dillon SC (4/2) The second race in the 2011 season for the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South presented by JE Pistons and Roush Yates Performance Products took place on Saturday, April 2nd at Dillon Motor Speedway (SC). The South Carolina Clash 150 was delayed by one week due to weather, but with no precipitation in the area, Ryan Blaney drove his way to victory lane at Dillon for the second year in a row.
21 of the 24 Super Late Model racers on hand answered the call for time trials. Heath Hindman looked like he was on his way to his first pole position of the year when he turned a 15.622-second lap but Jay Fogleman ripped off a 15.620, earning the pole position for the South Carolina Clash. (more…)

Naples ME (3/31) Pro All Stars Series (PASS) President Tom Mayberry is pleased to announce that JE Pistons and Roush Yates Performance Products have agreed to co-present the PASS South super late model series for the balance of the 2011 racing season. The announcement comes just a week before THE RACE at Historic North Wilkesboro (NC) Speedway, the 300 lap, $75,000.00 to win super bowl of short track racing that has drawn entries from Maine to California.
The presenting sponsorship comes with a variety of valuable awards for racers and engine builders. In addition to providing a product certificate award at each PASS South presented by JE Pistons and Roush Yates Performance Products event, PASS North teams will benefit from a similar program for running the JE Pistons and Roush Yates Performance Products logos. The top engine builder in each series will receive a generous product certificate based on driver points earned, and, there will be end of the season awards for the PASS South, North and National Champions.

It has been along winter and the fans drivers can’t wait to hear the roar of the engines, as the PASS North season opened at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway, is only a month away. One of the fan favorites Travis Benjamin, driver of the number 17, will once again take on the drivers of the Pro All Star Series to win his first PASS Championship.
RPM. What have you been doing in the off season?
Travis. We have been working really hard on our cars to make sure they are both ready to go for the season. I personally have been playing a lot of Basketball and just picked up playing Floor Hockey. Trying to stay busy cause its been a really long winter.

The American Canadian Tour (ACT) and Ford Sportsman Circle Track Racing, a division of Ford Racing, announced today the second year of the “Blue Oval Challenge” for the Ford competitors racing in ACT events or at ACT affiliated Late Model tracks.

Doiron Eager To Tackle North Wilkesboro
Reigning PASS Rookie of the Year Ready To Shine In ‘The Race’
BERWICK, Maine – Joey Doiron figures he was probably only four years old the last time the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series competed at North Wilkesboro (N.C.) Speedway, but he sensed the history as soon as he visited the venerable racing grounds on a recent trip.
“I think I used to watch the races then, but I honestly don’t remember if I ever saw North Wilkesboro or not,” Doiron said this week. “It’s a really cool place, though. It’s like stepping back in time when you get there. It was kept up pretty well for no one really touching it in 15 years or so.”
