PASS South Heads Back To Dillon For Rescheduled South Carolina Clash

CHARLOTTE, NC (March 29) – After a weekend that saw torrential rains pound the Southeast, Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South competitors are looking forward to a return trip to Dillon (SC) Motor Speedway this Saturday night for the rescheduled 6th Annual South Carolina Clash. With an extra week off to get prepared for the tricky 4/10 mile oval, this weekend’s event promises to be extremely competitive. Before the rains moved into the region and forced the cancellation of the event on its originally scheduled date last weekend, 23 PASS South teams converged on Dillon last Friday to get their machines fine tuned. Waterford Champ Jordan Moves to Valenti Modified Racing Series

Canaan, NH. — Two-time Waterford Speedbowl Late Model champion Timmy Jordan
of Plainfield, CT, will move to open-wheel racing and the Valenti Modified Racing
Series when the tour opens its 2011 season at the famed race track Saturday and Sunday, April 2 & 3. The two-day event marks the second consecutive season the VMRS will be part of the annual Budweiser Blast-Off Weekend.

Jordan, who started his racing career at Waterford in the mini-stock division, moved
to the full-bodied Late Models where he garnered 22 wins over the last five years. Although open wheel racing will be new to the 26-year-old high school teacher, Jordan feels he has good experience to tap into, to lean on for information and input. (more…)

ACT LEE USA OPENER TO SHOWCASE NEW TEAMS IN 2011

Waterbury, VT – The American Canadian Tour (ACT) will open the 2011 season at the Lee USA Speedway on Sunday, April 17, 2011 with many new faces in the pits.

Two veteran Oxford Plains Speedway competitors plan to start their 2011 ACT seasons at Lee. Shane Green, South Paris, ME will drive the Geoffrey Low entry, and Dennis Spencer from Oxford, ME both have a lot of experience with ACT racing. Oxford Plains has presented 22 ACT Late Model races, plus four non-point TD Bank Oxford 250s. Both drivers have participated in most of those events and Spencer participated in the second annual ACT Invitational at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) last September.

PASS South competitors ready to Clash at Dillon

CHARLOTTE, NC (March 21) – Over the last five seasons the South Carolina

Clash has carved quite a niche on the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South Super Late Model schedule. Dillon (SC) Motor Speedway will host the popular event on Saturday March 26 and The Clash promises to pack all the drama race fans can handle into 150 fast paced green flag laps.

It seems every South Carolina Clash contested so far has had its own unique identity, especially those hosted by Dillon Motor Speedway. Justin Wakefield took the win in 2008 in temperatures in excess of 100 degrees. In 2009 Maine’s Ben Rowe bested Wakefield to become the first and only Northern driver to win the South Carolina Clash. In 2010 Ryan Blaney totally dominated Dillon Motor Speedway to earn his first career PASS South win. (more…)

Monadnock Shows Interest In Granite State Pro-Stock Series

Canaan, NH — As he did back in 2003 when he threw his support at the new Modified Racing Series, Monadnock Speedway promotor Larry Cirillo has agreed to two race dates for the new Granite State Pro-Stock Series.

Series director John Hoyt has announced a meeting was held this past week opening the door for a visit to the Winchester, NH., speedway for two dates and possibly a third.
