Shediac, NB – The Center for Speed (CFS) in Shediac, New Brunswick announced today that the 2011 season will offer some changes in the type of race divisions that will be offered to Maritime stock car racing teams. The introduction of the American Canadian Tour (ACT) Late Model division as a premiere weekly division has generated enthusiasm among many of the top tier CENTRE racers.

Waterbury, VT – Officials of the American Canadian Tour (ACT) and the New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) announced today that the starting field for the second edition of the ACT Invitational will be increased from 36 teams last year to 43 teams in 2010. The event is part of a mega triple-header to be held on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at the region’s most notable speedway. The Invitational will join NASCAR’s Whelen Modified Tour and the Camping World Truck Series to provide the fans with the most exciting triple-header of the year.

The traditional opening event of the race season for the American Canadian Tour (ACT) at Lee USA presents a special challenge for the ACT teams. The New Hampshire Governor’s Cup 150 used to have a decided edge to the touring teams, but not anymore.

Barre, VT – The 2009-2010 off season has seen an impressive number of Thunder Road stock car drivers make the jump to the next level of competition at the Barre highbanks. Nearly a dozen drivers will take the next step in the development of their racing careers at the “Nation’s Site of Excitement.”
“It’s always exciting to see drivers progress through our development divisions, and this winter has seen a lot of promising racers further their careers by transitioning to the next level,” said Thunder Road Promoter Tom Curley. “I can’t remember the last time we’ve had this many solid drivers advance across all of our divisions.”

The 2010 American Canadian Tour (ACT) Rookie of the Year (ROTY) battle is shaping up to be one of the best in recent history. ACT will see six drivers competing for the 2010 ROTY honors, including four teenagers with a combined three career ACT starts.
The eldest of the teenage group is 18 year old Dave Farrington, Jr. of Jay, ME. Farrington, a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Maine-Orono, finished 8th in the Pro Stock standings at Wiscasset (ME) Speedway, but has never made an ACT Tour start.
