American-Canadian Tour Begins Development of Ford Crate Engine

      WATERBURY, VT – Ford Racing and the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) Late Model stock car series have begun development of a new Ford crate engine for use on the ACT Late Model Tour, Série ACT-Castrol, and in weekly Late Model divisions around the northeastern United States and Canada in 2009.  The Ford engine will be the first non-General Motors powerplant option in the division since the crate engine program was introduced a decade ago.  All ACT-legal Late Models currently utilize a “spec” GM ZZ4 engine.

PASS North Super Late Models make first Seekonk Speedway stop August 15

Naples ME (February 4, 2009) It's called the Cement Palace, a track steeped in auto racing history and tradition. It's the birthplace of Pro Stock/Super Late Model racing in New England, and on Saturday August 15th the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North will make its inaugural visit to the storied Seekonk (MA) Speedway for 150 green flag laps of super late model excitement.

Rodney Brooks Racing at Speedweeks

Concord, N.C.- Rockin’ Rodney Brooks is preparing his car to compete at the 43rd annual World Series of Asphalt Racing. New Smyrna Speedway is the host of nine straight nights of racing starting February 6, 2009 and leading up to the Daytona 500. Short track racers from all over the Eastern U.S. and Canada migrate south for the annual Speedweeks Event in Florida.
