Serie ACT-Castrol 2009 Schedule Released

       DRUMMONDVILLE, QC – A nine-event Late Model stock car racing schedule has been released for the 2009 Série ACT-Castrol season in Québec and Ontario.  American-Canadian Tour (ACT) President Tom Curley announced the schedule at the Série ACT-Castrol 2008 Banquet of Champions at the Best Western Hotel Universel in Drummondville, QC on Saturday night before the annual gathering of drivers, team members, and sponsors.

Gingras, Hamel Collect Serie ACT-Castrol Awards

       DRUMMONDVILLE, QC – Champion Late Model stock car driver Alexandre Gingras of Val-Bélair, QC was honored at the Série ACT-Castrol Banquet of Champions at the Best Western Hotel Universel in Drummondville, QC on Saturday evening.  The 32 year-old received a bonus check worth $8,000 for his efforts; the 2008 Série ACT-Castrol title is the first of his career.

Clark’s second half charge leads to third PASS North Super Late Model title

 

If you had to hang a title on Johnny Clark’s run to the 2008 Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North Championship, it might be “a tale of two seasons”. The Farmingdale Maine race car driver didn’t start his 2008 campaign with a great deal of flourish, but his team came on strong in the second half of the season to capture their third PASS Super Late Model Championship.

Live To PASS Moves To New Night and Expands to 1-Hour on RaceTalkRadio.Com

CHARLOTTE, NC (November 4) – The official radio show of the Pro All Stars Series (PASS), “Live To PASS” will move to Wednesday nights and expand to one hour it was announced late Tuesday.  “Live To PASS” debuted on RaceTalkRadio.com earlier this year with hosts Dennis Michelsen and Alan Dietz and proved to be quite successful.  “Live To PASS” will move to its new time slot at 7 PM EST this Wednesday night.  The show returns in its expanded form and new night thanks to fans who wanted to know what was going on in the world PASS during the off season.

ACT Late Models Returning to Beech Ridge in 2009

       SCARBOROUGH, ME – The American-Canadian Tour Late Model Championship stock cars will return to Scarborough, Maine’s Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in 2009, ending a 16-year absence.  The 1/3-mile, semi-banked oval outside Portland was pivotal in deciding the first-ever ACT Late Model Tour champion, as Dave Whitcomb of Essex Jct., VT spring-boarded from a Beech Ridge victory in September 1992 to secure the title.  Pat Corbett won the Tour’s only other event at the track in July 1993.
