Travis Benjamin latest first time PASS winner in the Atlantic CAT 250

Naples ME (August 11, 2008) Travis Benjamin retook the race lead for the fourth and final time with 45 laps to go in the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Atlantic CAT 250 at Halifax Nova Scotia’s Scotia Speedworld Saturday night and beat Ben Rowe to the checkers by one car length to earn his first PASS North Super Late Model victory.  Home track hero John Flemming crossed the line in third with 2007  race winner Mike Rowe fourth and Adam Bates fifth. Benjamin is the ninth first time PASS super late model feature winner of 2008.

Martin Lacombe Wins Ugly Capital City 100

       OTTAWA, ON – Late Model stock car driver Martin Lacombe of Terrebonne, QC won the Toromont CAT 100 at Ottawa’s Capital City Speedway for the Serie ACT Castrol on Saturday night.  The race, delayed for two hours by an unexpected rain shower, was  marred by 22 caution periods and lasted two hours and seventeen minutes.

PASS South regulars preparing for trip to PASS 400 Weekend at Beech Ridge

CHARLOTTE, NC (August 8 2008) – There’s still more than a month until race number three of the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Model National Championship Series,  but teams up and down the East Coast are already  making preparations.  The first two National races have been held in North Carolina, while the third race will be held on September 21st, headlining the PASS 400 weekend   at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough Maine.  Several teams from the PASS South region have already confirmed that they are planning to make the long trek to New England.

Thunder Road Rained Out Again

       BARRE, VT – Thunderstorms and saturated grounds have forced the postponement of the NAPA Auto Parts/Make-A-Wish stock car racing event at Barre’s Thunder Road on Thursday, August 7.  The event has been rescheduled for Thursday, August 28 at 6:30pm.  Inclement weather has now postponed Thunder Road events three consecutive weeks.
