PASS North: Ben Rowe?s the King of White Mountain

Patience won out on a short track Saturday night filled with hard racing at White Mountain Motorsports Park. Ben Rowe was able to preserve his equipment and make a lap 114 outside charge on Cassius Clark to win the 150 lap Pro All Stars Series (PASS) feature. The victory was Rowe’s eighth at the Avery family’s high banked quarter mile. John Flemming, Mike Rowe, and Richie Dearborn completed the top five.

Garand Edges Hebert for Thunder Road Sportsman Victory

       BARRE, VT – Veteran stock car driver Rick Garand of Middlesex, VT edged 17 year-old James Hebert of Williamstown, VT for his first NAPA Tiger Sportsman victory since 1995 at Barre, VT’s Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl on Sunday.  Garand and Hebert raced inches apart over the final five laps for the win during the 46th Annual Mekkelsen RV Memorial Day Classic.

Donahue Wins Fastest ACT Race in History at Thunder Road

       BARRE, VT – American-Canadian Tour Late Model Championship stock car driver John Donahue of Graniteville, VT won the fastest race in series history at Barre, VT’s Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl on Sunday, taking the 46th Annual Mekkelsen RV Memorial
Day Classic in 28 minutes and 16 seconds.  Donahue’s #26 National Guard Ford Fusion started fourth on the 30-car grid and came to life just before the halfway point.  Donahue grabbed the lead after an outside pass of polesitter Eric Williams on lap 47, then survived the race’s lone restart on lap 70 to earn the win.

Warrior Schroeder Wins Saturday Thunder Road Feature, Doubleheader Sunday

      BARRE, VT – Stock car driver Fred Schroeder won a special two-segment feature race for the Power Shift Online Junkyard Warrior division at Barre, VT’s Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl on Saturday afternoon (May 24) to open the 46th Annual Mekkelsen RV Memorial Day Classic weekend.  Schroeder, of Bristol, VT, took his first career win over South Burlington, VT’s Mike Gay and Waterbury, VT’s Neal Foster.
