Patience won out on a short track Saturday night filled with hard racing at White Mountain Motorsports Park. Ben Rowe was able to preserve his equipment and make a lap 114 outside charge on Cassius Clark to win the 150 lap Pro All Stars Series (PASS) feature. The victory was Rowe’s eighth at the Avery family’s high banked quarter mile. John Flemming, Mike Rowe, and Richie Dearborn completed the top five.

BARRE, VT – Champion stock car driver Jean-Paul Cyr of Milton, VT will attempt his second double-duty effort of the 2008 racing season at his home track, Barre, VT’s Thunder Road, with this weekend’s 46th Annual Mekkelsen RV Memorial Day Classic on Sat./Sun., May 24/25. Cyr will assume his regular duties behind the wheel of the #32 RPM Racing Engines Chevrolet in the 100-lap American-Canadian Tour Late Model event on Sunday afternoon, and will then strap into the #25 Roscoe Racing car owned by Gary Casella for the True Value Modified Racing Series

BARRE, VT – The open-wheeled True Value Modified Racing Series stock cars will make their historic debut at Barre, VT’s Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl at this weekend’s 46th Annual Mekkelsen RV Memorial Day Classic. Modifieds have not raced at the high-banked 1/4-mile oval in over than 40 years, and return as part of a twin 100-lap doubleheader with the American-Canadian Tour Late Models on Sat./Sun., May 24/25.

ST-EUSTACHE, QUÉBEC – American-Canadian Tour (ACT) Late Model stock car driver Patrick Laperle began the defense of his 2007 Série ACT Castrol championship in dominating fashion on Sunday at Autodrome St-Eustache near Montréal. The St-Denis-sur-Richelieu, QC driver quickly made his way from 15th starting position in the St-Eustache 100 to the front of the pack, and took the lead from outside polesitter Steven Boissonneault on lap 48.
