2010 Speedway 95 Little Enduro champion Danny Blanchard of Bangor appeared to have won his career first Dysart’s Late Model feature Saturday night at Speedway 95, but a post race inspection found that his crate motor did not still contain the required seal indicating that it had not been worked on since being sealed by Butler and MacMaster Automotive of Hallowell, the official engine shop of Speedway 95. Management has agreed to hold the finish of the race in suspense until the motor, which has been removed from the car, is taken to Butler and MacMaster on Monday to be tested. If it passes the test, Blanchard will be allowed to keep the win. Blanchard had led from the pole to lap 33 when a yellow flag bunched the 17 car field up for a two lap dash to the finish. Duane Seekins of Stockton Springs, who had run second for most of the race, challenged Blanchard over the last two laps, but was unable to unseat Blanchard from the top spot and finished second. In his post race interview, Seekins complained that Ryan Deane, the third place finisher, pushed him sideways on those last two laps, causing his car to lose traction and making it impossible for him to beat Blanchard. Points leader Andy Saunders of Ellsworth finished in fourth with John Kalel II of Orrington finishing fifth. All positions are unofficial until the Blanchard motor test is completed on Monday. PASS 300 At Beech Ridge A Highlight For Mulkern, Sommerville
FALMOUTH, Maine – If there’s one win that Mulkern Racing would really like to have for themselves, it’s a victory in the longest and most prestigious race on the PASS North Series schedule.
Team owner Scott Mulkern of Falmouth finished second in the SouthernMaineMotors.com 300 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway last season, and he and Lonnie Sommerville of Saint John, New Brunswick, will both take aim at the checkered flag in the event this time around on Sunday, September 16. Qualifying for the longest race on the schedule begins at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, with the main event slated for approximately 3 p.m. on Sunday.
Both Mulkern Racing entries have victories at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway on their respective resumes, most recently Sommerville who took the PASS 150 at the track in July of 2011 with the No. 48 A.E. McKay Builders/Southern Maine Motors Chevrolet. (more…)

BERWICK, Maine – Joey Doiron has seen both ends of the spectrum at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway this season, and he’s hoping for another dose of success when the PASS North Series returns to the track this weekend.

BRMS Champ Ready To Tackle PASS North Series’ Best On Own Turf
WINDHAM, Maine – Brad Babb would like to add one more piece of hardware to the trophy case this weekend when the PASS North Series invades Beech Ridge Motor Speedway for its premiere event of the season.
Babb, the 2012 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series track champion, will join some three dozen Super Late Model teams from across New England and Canada in the SouthernMaineMotors.com 300 at Beech Ridge this Sunday, September 16. Following open practice at the track on Friday afternoon, qualifying begins at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday and the main event is slated for approximately 3 p.m. on Sunday.
Babb, who won a 45-lap Pro Series feature in May at Beech Ridge, believes he has an advantage after running all summer at the .333-mile oval. (more…)
