Here it is, the beginning of a new year and like everyone else, I long for the heat of summer and the excitement of the race track. During the long cold winter, I anticipate the sights and the smells of being at the race track that every true race fan will appreciate! I recently had the opportunity to talk with Chuck Lachance and to find out how he first got into what has turned out to be quite a successful hobby.

Mike Landry always seems to be smiling at the track. and he has good reason to be smiling,
with 6 wins and 15 top five finishes this past season at Wiscasset Raceway. Though two unfortunate finishes kept him from the championship, Mike did finish out the season 3rd in points.
RPM. Now that the 2008 race season is over, what are your plans for 2009? and what will you be doing until the season starts up again?
Mike.I may be racing an lms or prostock at Wiscasset, or a sport series at Beech Ridge. Undecided. Playing poker, working on the sport series car and trying to find a late model or prostock for Wiscasset.
We are sad to announce that Randi Baxter the receipent of the inaugurial 2008 Maine Racing Dreams, passed away, Nov. 22nd.
MaineRacing.com teamed up with Mainely Motorsports TV to send Randi and her family to NHMS. While at Loudon Randi got to meet Nascar drivers Jason Keller and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Randi spoke extensivly to everyone of her experiences at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Randi's mom would like to thank everyone for their help and thoughts.
Lee, NH – Oktoberfest 2008 enjoyed a beautiful fall weekend, with a pit area jam-packed with competitors from all over the region looking for one last win on the year.
Due to the impending rain predicted for this weekend we are not going to race Saturday or Sunday.
Saturday's Races sponsored by Harold Ralph Chevrolet and Motor Supply Auto Parts will be held on Sunday October 12th.
Sunday's Races sponsored by Central Maine Motors Group and Sno Pro Trailers will be held on Sunday October 19th.
